Laya:
My girl finished her Primary level(CSTD) & now in grade 1. I would like to know which is better RAD or CSTD.
Hi Laya, i will recommend your girl to opt for RAD as i did RAD myself. I do not know much about CSTD but i have a few friends who do CSTD and in my opinion RAD is more recognised than CSTD in the current dance scene. -
Hi mummies, i will not recommend to send your girls for ballet at such a young age as their feet are not formed properly yet
the more recommendable age to start ballet will be 5 years old. -

Thx for ur immediate response. When will be the RAD exams? -
Graded exams will be around April. Vocational exams (inter f, inter, advance etc) around September.

Thx. Last nov '11 she has finished her primary lvl(CSTD), so she can take her Grade 1 RAD only by Apr’13?
-
Most likely, yes, as the girls would already have finished learning everything in the syllabus by now, and are just working hard to master their technic.

Hi twilight,
Thx for ur quick reponses. Just now she has started her Grade 1 classes so she has to continue in that for more than a year(until apr’13)? -
I’m surprised that they let her start grade 1 class now. Usually they will ask the child to wait till April for new intake. I’m not sure then. Ask the teacher.

Wanted to ask if the first exam is grade 2? Any thoughts or comments? Will this affect application for DSA?

Most likely it will not affect. More importantly is for your girl to get distinction for her exams. May i ask how old is your girl?
