Not sure whether it is appropriate to post the following message here. I apologise if it is not.


My daughter, who is in Cedar Girls’ Sec 2 this year, withdrew from her French (3rd language) class just two months after it had started last year. This is after we had spent over $100 in the French textbooks, activity books, dictionary and etc.

If you know of anyone in Sec 1 this year who is interested to purchase these books for her French class, please let me know. I am willing to sell them for about $60 and the price is negotiable. They are in very good condition (just like new ones). According to the MOE language centre’s booklist, the price of these books amounted to $95.

1. Alter Ego 1 Textbook with CD $ 36.80
2. Alter Ego 1 Activity Book $ 21.00
3. Conjugaison $ 9.20
4. Collins French School Dictionary & Grammar $ 28.00

I will also give the buyer the MOE Language Centre (2 ring) file for free.

Please let me know, preferably by tomorrow, so that I can arrange for my daughter to hand over the books by Friday in school. I understand this year’s French Class will start next week.

Does cedar have the Indian dance cca?
Do they have robotics Cca or something related to it?
Also is basketball cca one of cedar's forte?
My daughter's pri school has athletics Cca. Will this be the same as cedar's track & field Cca?

Yes Cedar has indian dance CCA but it’s not a CCA by itself. It’s like a group under the Indian Cultural Society.


There’s no robotics society though. Robotics society has been replaced by info comm club, but I would say they’re 2 entirely different clubs. I don’t think they’re related.

Basketball is not Cedar’s niche CCA.

I think it should be the same. But in any case, in Cedar’s track and field team, they have sprints, long distance running, cross country, high jump, long jump, pole vault and throws training.

Btw Indian Cultural Society is a 2nd CCA, so people who choose it do need to have another CCA. All students taking Tamil will have to join ICS.

Its the Reading and Presentation period. On alternate weeks, you either read (books, educational magazines), and on the other week, you'll be given a current affair article, and there'll be questions to discuss with the class about the article.

Btw, there's a virus spreading around the secondary 3 and secondary 4 levels, so those in the lower secondary, do take extra care of your body in this period of time!
