Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) [*IP]

RGS toilets need to do some thorough cleaning. I thought as a branded school, the toilets/restroom should be maintained. The maintenance company not doing a proper job I guess. What is OM doing in the office everyday? isn’t he doing rounds the buildings to check whether toilets, tissue paper are well maintaned.
The principal of another prestige sch is so proud of the house-keeping especially the toilets. This is because abt 400 staffs and 2000 something students are using the toilets everyday. Indeed the toilets are well maintained compared to Junction 8 toilets. And RGS toilets are comparable with J8 toilets behind MOS burger. -
Another feedback, the emcees should check their microphone whether able to produce loud sound. They announced so soft, knowing that an emcee plays an important role to introduce each skit in an innovative way. dd’s class won 2nd place.
Some classes put a lot of effort but didn’t meet the judges’ expectations. -
Totally agree with MummySTay that the Rafflesian spirit is contagious. DD enjoyed herself tremendously and is totally impressed with the RGS culture and unity.
A special :thankyou: to all PSLs, teachers & the organising committee for making the Yr1's camp & performance such a memorable event. DD was still talking about the event and the cheers today with such excitement. :rahrah:
Orientation is officially over. Here's wishing the Yr1 all the very best as they get down to 'real work'. :celebrate: -

:hi5: DD also mentioned the PSLs started banging on her door as soon as she locked the door. Imagine if they did that in the morning :imconstipated:a child:
Haha hmm did any dds mention psls doing the Raffles Jam on the shower cubicles when they're like taking too long in the shower?

Ah i have that experience too! But then they just started banging when i like just got in:( So i didn't care and took my time:D

Hi Funx3,
Wow....that's great! Next time you bake cookies for the class, tell us ok....keke....I will tell DD to try your cookies out.
CNY coming...can start your own biz....
BTW, were you at the cafeteria on Saturday? Went down to eat & tried to locate hipomum & you at the class table but was unsuccessful.
Unfortunately by the Time I Reach Sch After 12noon, it's after their Lunch Break, and the Gals R Not Allowed to go to the Foyer. So could not pass to my Gal.
Me too .... Was trying to Locate the 2 of U ....

[May I know what is mindsports?
Hi hipomum,
Heard from DD that she met you on Saturday. She wanted me to meet you but couldn't find me in the sea of audience...

The toilets might not be perfectly well-maintained and the mics might not always be loud enough, but there were many areas that impressed me.
Another thing that I really liked was the grouping of parents of the same class together. That was a marvelous idea! I took the opportunity to network...got to make friends with some parents of DD's classmates...exchanged contact details as well. Such friendly and humble parents...
In fact, friends were envious of us cos their children's school did no such thing. They would certainly have loved to network too, but the school did not provide them with such opportunities.
These contacts would come in handy, considering DD will have the same classmates for 2 years.
