L1R5, total 6 subjects, the R5 must have a contrasting subject

          Poly COP for 2011

Note: COP indicates the ELR2B2 aggregate score (after deducting CCA bonus points) of the last student posted to the course under the 2011 JAE.

I thought ACSI’s COP would be lower than 5. So their COP is on par with NJC and VJC. Any idea what the intake is for O level students for these JCs?

ACSI always says during talks that their COP is partial 3. I have no idea why it is 5 officially. Perhaps due to spaces reserved for people without HMT?

RI, HCI and ACSI take in about 200-250 O level students. No idea about other JCs.

Thanks twilight. ACSI reserves places for those without HMT? Why?

To be fair I guess? I’m not entirely sure, just speculating. It’s not really fair to some people (MOE also knows it, and they said they’re reviewing this policy) whose MT is offered but not HMT, like Thai which does not have the HMT level. So it’s not really their fault that they can’t take HMT. RI and HCI do have places reserved for those without HMT, but they’re entertained through appeal cases. So I am actually not sure what ACSI is doing, by saying their cut off is partial 3 but officially written as 5.

I wonder what about those who are dyslexic and exempted from MT or could only offer MT and not HMT. Such pupils will never have the bonus point from HMT. How would they be considered? Already for the PSLE and O levels, they are given extra time for their papers.

Then just go to 2nd-tier JCs lor. My dd also didn't take HMT.

Can try appealing to the top JCs.
