School bus fare

Hi, I’m wondering how school bus fare is computed? Isn’t it based on distance? I’m paying $74 for a 2 way trip from my place at Hougang to Montfort Junior whereas somebody who is staying at SengKang is paying only $69. Can somebody enlighten me? Thanks!

I m also not sure how they compute the bus fare but I m paying $120 from Bt. Timah to Henry PArk at Mount Sinai near Ghim Moh.

Hi, would like to get an estimate on how much is the school bus fares that parents are paying.


I stay about 2 km away from school (15mins bus ride) and am charged $140 for my DD’s transport to and from school. The school only have one school bus operator hence I don’t have much of a choice but to pay as request. Is this a reasonable amount?

It also depends on size of bus. We are on a mini bus and only 9 students. Charge $125 for 2 ways. School is around 15 mins drive.

Both DD and DS are in schools outside of 2km from my home both about 15mins drive from my place. I am paying $90 for DD and $95 for DS. Both on those big bus. Think they are like 30 seaters.

Mine is like a 14 seater. If driving car, the school is like 15 min drive away but the school bus takes about an hour


I pay $150 for two ways.
