oh, btw, my son was referred by a specialist in Mt E - and the operation was done in Mt A (it’s a cheaper option compared with the other hospitals given in the list)…u want the contact? I can PM you.

I’m not sure what KK charges though, and kinda forgot how much it cost for me.

Yes please. I actually replied yr PM asking for this info. How long was the waiting time from yr consultation at Mt. E to the operation day? My boy was referred to KK by the polyclinic. The doctor at the polyclinic actually told us that the date given is the operation day. However when I called KK to check, they said that it will only be a consultation & we have to make another appt for the circumcision after this consultation. So I'm keen to get an alternative in case it's another long wait again.
Thanks kaisimom & EN for sharing. EN you registered in Aug meaning that's the 1st consultation & you have to wait abt 3 mths to get the op done? Kaisimom, did you wait so long too? Oh no, my boy's 1st appt is in early Dec & I am hoping for him to get circumcise in Dec before sch reopens. Looks like that's impossible now. Anyone knows of any other hopitals where the waiting time is not so long?

Cotton pants for the child to put on? Won't that hurt. How abt sarong?
Oppsss... I totally forgot to state the year. It was done in 2008. More than 1 year of wait. But mine is not due to any pain that I need it done urgently.

Cost in cash should be less than $100. I take $100 on the high side cause I can't remember. I know I pay very little cash. Everything out through medisave.

DH dont own a sarong neither do I. Don't think my son wants to wear it in public either. The t-shirt type of bermuda, huge and loose. He just carried the front part so it did not hit his private part.

But then came the sleeping arrangement, called SOS for my father to lend us his sarong. I'll post the picture later today or tomorrow. A bit difficult to describe. The sarong was made like a tent when he was sleeping. No pants either. Just big t-shirt.

Mine also done in 2008 - clean forgot about the bill. But I’m sure the staff there will know estimates.

Should be able cos this is medical condition - not a cosmetic elective.

I juz called Dr Cheah's clinic & the staff quoted me an estimate of $1400 for Mt. Alvernia. Do you recall paying so much?

Could be. Did you check how much you can tap into your medisave?

There’s a consultation in doctor’s office where he’ll explain the procedure to you; followed by operation; and then followup some weeks after.

But honestly, I had referral letter from co doctor so could make a claim.

No cos' the staff doesn't seem to be very sure. Guess I will make an appt for my boy to see Dr Cheah first then decide.
