Any P1 students parents going for the session this coming sat? anyone signed up with alumni and starting lessons this coming weekend?

Me and hb will be attending the principal's briefing this coming sat. I am interested in their Chinese enrichment class despite that my girl has already attended one since she was 4 yo. However the session starts around 10.00am every sat and I'm afraid that it's timing will clash with the speech and drama if it is confirmed compulsory. I hv already shifted the timing of all her enrichment classes and keep the sat morning free to avoid any adhoc situation.

No info yet, still early. Maybe can reference schools already in single session.

Hi me too i signed up 3G Abacus for my girl. But only plan to let my girl learn until the elementary only. Will not continue to learn intermediate. Just hope the compulsory speech and drama and basketball timing will be revealed to us this sat and not wait somemore

My girl came back today claiming that there will be an impending Chinese spelling text next week for her class 1C. However I couldn’t locate any spelling list for Chinese in her schoolbag. She claimed that her class will be tested basic HYPY. She has given 1st term spelling list for English last week. Can any daddies or mummies of P1 child advise whether there is any spelling list for Chinese. I’m afraid that she might hv overlooked.

May I ask regarding the bite-sized assessment that will be conducted on term 1. Although the school letter indicated that this assessment will not take into the consideration of the final score however am I right to say that if the students don’t fare well in this assessment, he or she will hv to attend tuition before school. I heard that some schools hv such practice. How’s abt Nan Chiau?

Also if my gal is starting P1 in 2013, how early should i get go source for the student care centre as i heard from my friends about limited vacancy for some centre.

There is no afterschool care in Nan Chiau right now. Nearest student care will be in Polaris Junior. I heard there may be one after the upgrading thou.

Thanks for the info..So i guess most parents are sending their child to Polaris since its the nearest...
May I just check any idea when is the upgraded gonna be completed?

I dont really think the teachers will wait till assessments to select P1 students for remedial classes. The classes shld b starting soon...in late Jan or Feb. The P3ers r starting theirs next week.
