Yesterday was first day of lesson and my son worked till past midnight to complete his homework and all the necessary admin matter like preparing all the required files, divider and etc. 3 months of honey-moon finally over and back to reality

My DS was so worried with his homework that he did not talk much and revert to his homework. He did mentioned there is a few deadlines to meet next week and yet to start working on the ‘lantern’…

Hi all, wow … everytime i read the posts and updates, my palms get sweaty. I looked at the test dates and asked my DS about it. Nothing from his class yet ( 1O1 ). Hey Ortus parents, did ELL teacher mention which book starting for your DS class? For 1O1, ELL teacher says start with Mao, then term 2 is Animal and term 3 is Empire. Chinese teacher has started Monkey story book and DS class asked to read first 2 chapters. Ah … form teacher and class have set up the committee with boys volunteering to be class monitor, secretary etc. Very on. In Humanities class, teacher Eddie asked the class to draw a pix to represent their understanding of Humanities. Yes, FILES. 4 files were so far prepared - ELL, Math, HMT and IH. Must put dividers also. It was also mentioned by DS that each pupil should have a NoteBook for every subject to write notes. Writing notes on foolscap, as advised by teacher, not so good. Better to have an exercise book. ELL teacher required 2 exercise books for English. One is "Right to Write" and the other is for Journal.

Lantern? Did someone mention lantern?.. his class needs to do also. Pass up next Wed. Some more must write a note on his feelingss for the New Year and also the lantern creation process. AIYOH … really "lecheh". And form teacher ( who happens to their HMT teacher ) also wants them to detail the 2 CNY days !!!
Since school reopen, I have not had enuf rest and sleep … stress. DS comes home and exclaims, " You cannot bellieve the amt of information I wrote today !!" Then I have 2 younger boys, p2 and p4, also having fair share of information to share … I feel as if i have to tear myself into 3 unequal parts !!!
