Hi TwaTau, I would suspect your DD and my DS were classmates...has your DD left RVPS as well ? My older child DD was not from GEP and not from RVPS, she like your older DS is in Yr 1 RGS 🙂

DS misses RVPS and his old friends....

DD is still in RVPS, acadamically not as good as my DS lah, 🤷
That is what my DS feel when he leave to join the GEP. In fact that was one reason he initially refuse to leave RVPS. Took a long and painful time before he finally agreed to transfer out. It was however a decision that I don't think he will regret. Very much enjoy the programme and having a bunch of very close friends after that.

Am glad to hear that your DS is happy 🙂 I hope mine will find the journey rewarding too. And I am sure your DD will do just as well as her elder brother 🙂 It is nice to get to know you here, wish we had met when our kids were classmates at RVPS ...

Hi there,my gal’s P1 this is in RVPS and am generally quite happy with the school’s arrangement so far in settling the young kids for the new environment. However,I find that the prices of food in the canteen is slightly higher than other schools in the neighborhood.and on wed,dd wanted to try out the fish ball noodles thus the P5 buddy brought her to that stall.the price on the board indicated $0.70/$0.90 so buddy asked her to get ready $0.70.Upon ordering, auntie told her it’s $1.20 instead.the bowl of noodles only consisted noodles, soup and 2 fish balls.curious,I went to the canteen the next day to check with the auntie, she insisted that the child had probably ordered additional ingredients for that price.dd bought the same noodles on the next day,and it was $0.70 instead.Hope it’s a one-time off misunderstanding as it’s not

right for canteen vendors to charge as they like it,esp when the kids are so small.

That’s my DD favourite stall, and $0.70 is about right for the noodle.

My child was a transferee into RVPS. He mentioned tat canteen food are more ex than his previous sch.

The variety of food avail is not bad though. Unfortunately my kids prefer snacks to proper (noodle/rice) food.

A packet of nuggets cost abt $3.50-$4 @ ntuc, prob abt 25-30 pieces. Canteen selling each piece of nuggets at 40cents! Their profits is sky-high!!!

Will the Fri b4 be the normal sch session or "half day" session?

Just found out from my DD the noodle stall has change owner, say the previous stall owner retired (was wondering how she know and understand the meaning of retirement). Mentioned that noodle is not as good and ingredient is reduced. Now she frequent mainly the Fusion stall.

                    Most likely half session.

Hi all, I’m new here. Hope I’m posting at the right place… is there only a single forum thread for RV parents? Just want to make sure I’m not "replying" at the wrong spot.

We will be registering our elder girl for RV at the P1 registration 2012. Dad was a former student. We just found out a couple of not-so-great news:
                      - RV has no alumni association?? We even submitted an alumni form some time ago, thinking that there was one.
                      - no before n after school care in school or nearby?
                      - Poh Lee school bus does not serve the east!?!

That will be a challenge for us sending n fetching 7.30am, 12.30pm and 5.30pm. Daughter will be in P3 and son will be in P1 when we return to Sg. We r currently overseas.

Any response will be appreciated, thank you.

                        Hi Pure Purple.

                        my comments..

                        - no before n after school care in school or nearby?
There is a childcare called 'Alphabet playhouse' which provides before and after school care. This childcare is less than 5mins drive from RVPS.
                        - Poh Lee school bus does not serve the east!?!
Yes, called them before and they don't serve families staying in the east as their company is located in the west. So i guess it is more convenient fo the bus drivers to return the bus back to the company after bringing the kids home (since it is in the same area).
