      Hi HolidayQ,

Well, we can learn and pick up additional knowledge in bento-ing, now the children may be fussy about what we prepared, but hopefully as they grow older, they will appreciate the effort. So we start with small and easy to eat items...what do you think?

I had a quick chat with a teacher regarding twins registering and was informed that the school will respect the parent's decision - either to keep both in same class or separate classes. πŸ˜„

Tell your twins that you are going via MacDonald Bishan Park and i believe they will surely follow you πŸ†’

      Good Luck!!

      CHeers,
      astee

Hello bluebellas. Thanks for your reply.

Astee, I've been checking out bento recipes online. The presentation is so nice that I'm tempted to try. However, knowing my kids they will eat one mouthful and throw the rest away. Wasted effort.

rejoice, I was wondering if it's possible to walk across the park to school and now I know it can be done. Looks near but dragging 2 reluctant kids with me could make the journey twice as long. :scratchhead:

wow, I did not check in to the forum a day due to busy workday, the site already grow another page. Good to have more active members here to share and learn together.

Hehe. I am not good at bento-ing yet and I have not find a good bento lunch box that can keep the food warm and still small in size for DS. I don't want my DS to take cold food and afraid that food will spoil fast in our weather. Anyone of you came across a good bento lunch box, let me know :-). Right now I am using thermal food jar to pack one pot meal for him. Tried a few times of packing sushi rice but the rice did not stay together during transportation :-). But Astee, we still can have bento-ing working session together to learn together as long as it is not 6am in the morning. πŸ˜‚

HolidayQ, I stayed nearer to the Bishan main road. Walking along the main road to gate B is the nearer route. But cutting through the park and walk towards gate A is a pleasant route with fresher air too. Taking two kids along might be tough for your case unless they are used to the walk. Can give it a test before school starts to see how they handle it πŸ˜„

Heard from my son tuition friend's grandma that the \"competitive school in mentioned\" is moving to a holding place near AMK while the school is undergoing renovation work to prepare itself for Single session operation. Not sure if the movement had been confirmed. πŸ˜‚

          Cheers,
          Astee
Hehe Astee, not this competitive school that is moving to AMK but the other one that is already in single session. I have two DS, you see πŸ˜‰

            Hi Rejoice.

Ah ok..i see and i think i know which other competitive school you guys are talking about now for all your DSs. πŸ˜‰

Yes, i had see TGPS Senior coming back to school, donning this sch uniform as they are now studying in the secondary level of the school. So do not feel despair if your DS did not gain a place in the primary level. Guide them well and one day, it will be a dream comes true... :please:

            Wishing all an enjoyable weekend.

            Cheers,
            Astee

Ha ha, we'll end up eating pancakes every morning just so that they get the free toys.

Hehe, Astee, somehow your reply was included in your quote. Haha, now I am not sure if putting my kids in a competitive school is a good idea. Within a stone throw away from my place is great. But if DS has to be stressed to maintain high standard with lots of homework, I rather he enjoys his childhood and be adverage πŸ˜„. So it could be a blessing in disguise that DS did not get in at the first place (or sour grape πŸ˜‚ ). Glad that DS enjoys his school everyday and makes some good friends. Also happy that he has minimum homework to do during weekdays so that he can still be a child and play. And I get to know all the kind parents in this forum because of him.

                    Hi Tanglin & Ching,

I am also staying with 1km away from TGPS; which block are you staying?
we are also due for 2012 registration πŸ™‚

we are still thinking whether to send our DD to TGPS or TVPS (because of their inhouse AFC)...

                      TVPS is Townsville?

We visited AMKPS, TVPS and TGPS (last). AMKPS gave us the impression that discipline is good. We witness the kids gathering for assembly and it was well conducted. But the school seemed to be undergoing construction then so we gave it up.

                      Liked TGPS envt best πŸ™‚

                        Hi Parents

Any idea whether there will be some sort of CNY celebration this friday and if school will end early?
