Any kids in cca - Scouts? What do they do in p3? Do they get to travel? My boy came telling me that this year children in scouts get to go new Zealand?

My boy cldnt get into handball CCA. He failed 1 task out of 3. The instructor is so strict

thankfully he's still happy to be in his 2nd choice: media com. N he likes photography n video editing too

Any Rulang parents pls enlight me. My boy is in P1 now, and i was told that he will only be needed to join cca when he is P3. Question is can he actually join now instead of waiting till P3? Thanks

Hi, Parents of Rulang, Paiseh that i have so many question to ask. Really confuse when my friend ask me if my boy in P1 have Ca1. I remember during my times only got class tests, mid-year n final-year exams. But now think they got ca1,ca2,sa1...., really confusing. Anyone parents can tell me, do P1 have these exams to take? How many tests or exam do they have to take? Thanks alot

Hi wanzchan,
Only the upper primary have CA1 ( 20-24 Feb)and then SA1 in May. For the lower primary, they are doing the holistic assessment syllabus, hence no CA. They will do bite-sized assessment. Refer to your handbook for the schedule. Look under Term 1.

I live in BB and dd studied in Rulang (she graduated last year and now in sec 1).
In the morning, dh will send her to school. If he is overseas, we will take mrt (BB to JE and then Lakeside).
She returned (via mrt and then bus 106 or 77) herself from p4 onwards.
She attended studentcare centre from p1 to p3.

i will be registering my ds this coming p1 registration. very worried about the transport issue due to the distance (am staying at Hillview area - The Petals). i tot of registering ds in rulang first in phase 2A and put ds in waiting list with Princess Elizabeth for logistic reason. i can’t take the stress of been ballot out in Princess E in phase 2C.

There IS a school bus service from Rulang to BB. We used to see a mini van picking up some kids in my neighbourhood (am living near Yusof Ishak Sec Sch).
From Rulang to my home in BB, it should be less than 45 min inclusive of waiting times at Lakeside, Jurong East and then the buses.

I thought if you can register in phase 2A, this means you sure can get into Rulang
