      Hi, ILoveChubby

I find that the EPH PSLE Ultimate Science guide is just good enough. It covers the lower and upper block. I've bought the ultimate lower block before this but since then have put the lower block aside. πŸ˜‚

This book is the \"combination\" of the lower & upper block πŸ˜„

I have the second one (my pals). I find it good too. But if you have ultimate guide (lower block), it covers more than that in My pals. My pals may be good for PSLE revision since there may not be enough time during PSLE. I dont have ultimate guide for PSLE. Not sure lower block ultimate science and PSLE ultimate science covers the same. And also not sure, two years later, I must buy upper block ultimate science or PSLE ultimate science. Appreciate any feedback on this. Thank you.

As what you mentioned above, maybe you can ask G Tan. As I only went through p3 with my DS, so still way to go to find out more.

                Hi Mychildren & Champion

                Thanks for your recommendations!! :please:
Really need spend some time at Popular to browse thr' the books..

Can I just check with all of u if doing all these science assessment books at home suffice? Do they also read other kinds of encyclopedia to brush up their knowledge?

Sorry alittle :offtopic: - do your kids also go for enrichmt/tuition?
Any good recommendations for interesting Science classes for lower primary to generate their interest and expand their general knowledge?
(The science enrichment classes threads are pretty inactive..)
Hope no monitors will :spank: me for going off topic...

                  Dear G Tan or Janet,

Do you have any idea reg the following?

Ultimate science guide lower block + upper block = PSLE ultimate guide

Is it correct? Or PSLE ultimate guide has more info than lower and upper block?

                  Thank you in advance.

                    iLoveChubby,

Hi, my DS did not attend any tuition. I am his tutor.

I only used top school papers on him but selectively chose those questions that are tested. (I did not ask him to do every papers.) I don't like double work and extra work. This is because find that no point asking the kids to do similar questions again and again. Wasting time if had already grasped the concept. πŸ˜‰

Also read the guide book with him on topics to be tested before his CA and SA. I went through those mistakes he made in his class tests or worksheets in order to find out where are his weak areas, then used the guide to strengthen these weak areas.

You can do some of the simple experiments at home with him. They are interesting like getting some magnets with different poles to let them play with and understand.

Think this is better than going for tuition or enrichment once a week.

Replying to your question, I did not use any encyclopedia.

Just to add on, I did used the Iscience enrichment p3&4 before SA2. As I found this book during that time. Find that this book is good as it is colourful and simple to understand. Indeed it aroused the interest of my younger DS as he is the type that likes to read comics and not interested with books full of words.

Hope what I have written can help you.
