Perhaps school should educate through the children and get the children to tell their parents the inconvenience they are causing to others.

Otherwise, blanket ban on cars entering school compound. Let the traffic build up and that will force them to drop kids along the road and let them exercise a bit and build their leg muscles…haha! Also, if traffic gets out of control, traffic police will be force to come in and take over.

        Hi Parents

Your DD /DS has collected their monitor badges?

        Assistant Monitor also has badges?

        :scratchhead:

I think it can be seened from many of the replies that , quite a few us are concious and aware of our actions. I just wish that there are more.

Sad, but this is how our society has become.

I wonder if those road blocks are even aware of their actions. If they are, they surely do not give a hoot about others.

Any one noticed a dark colour beemer, during school dismissal hour, back gate, many times, parked along double yellow lines, at spots that blocks the traffic, sometimes for 15-20 mins.... S----99B

Haha! Seen many times, that car. But do be careful. Once a lady honked him many times, until he finally moved off. then when he moved off he intentionally jammed on his brake for no reason. Lucky her reaction was fast or she would have rammed into his back.

No badges for Asst Monitor (as of last year). Some other monitors like discipline will have sash...

should ask the school to print notices and let children bring home to inform road hoggers. Lucky it has not rain heavily, else it will be massive jam all the way!

My girl came back today she told me that she asked her teacher if assistant monitor will also get the badge. She said yes but the badges will be ready only in 2 week times.

She said her P1 class last year 1 main and assistant monitor have the badges.

I don't know whether anyone realise but this year the jam seemed pretty bad. Gate A,gate B and gate C are always jammed. Perhaps more parents drive their kids to school this year. Recently I had to alight my dd along King's road just after Empress Road. It was so slow moving and she reached gate A before me. When I travelled along Coronation Road, the first jam was before Gate C and then after alighting my dd, I faced another jam as there were cars coming out of Gate B and then another long wait as there are cars waiting to turn to Lutheran Road. :stupid: I am going to try another route next week.

For the past 2 weeks, I dropped the kids at Gate C around 650am, smooth traffic n no jam...

The one day that I tried ... yes yesterday, was very bad after Gate C. Time around 7.05am. I only tried once and I don't think of doing it again if I can help it. Or maybe this is pretty normal to some parents.
