We leave the easy Math exams (e.g., MGS and CHIJ) for just before exams to build confidence and drill for speed.

Perhaps it's because MGS and CHIJ have affiliated sec schools πŸ™‚

I usually leave out MGS papers. But ACS, Rosyth, Nanyang and RGPS are must-haves.

I just enquire full set 58 for 13 Sch, 70 for 15 Sch and 100 for 21 Sch. Not sure which one should buy

I bought the one with 13 schools though I know there are websites that allow free download as I figure out the ink used to print the papers will come out almost the same price for paying for the papers. Moreover, my printer does not print double sides;)

However, I do go to http://www.test-Paper.info to print older papers. It's free and comes with answer keys too πŸ˜‰

Great! I didn't know this site! :thankyou:

:thankyou: You are actually able to get PSLE papers? The full unadulterated and un-reorganized papers? How?

You wait long long ... I believe she is referring to the PSLE past years' booklet you can buy from Popular πŸ™‚

You never ask the MOE official why they do not release the actual papers?

Yup, I meant the ones sold in Popular and I've only worked on the English papers with my students. πŸ˜„

I paid $58 for 13 schools (I think). If printing 2-3 sets, still ok...but anything more than that it is more worth while to buy from vendor....printer at home can only print 1 side (paper not cheap), ink cart also not cheap if printing so many schools X 4 subjects.

Should be starting to work on ca1 soon. :nailbite: πŸ˜“

We started work on CA1 Math papers on Monday this week. We’ve done 1 set a day. Paper 1 and Paper 2. We completed the P6 syllabus during the last week of December, and so now, it is practice, practice, practice time.

Typically, we do almost all the Math papers in the set to maintain some level of skills currency in mental computation and mental flexibility. Maybe 1 or 2 English papers and about one-third the Science papers.

We almost didn’t do any of P5’s Chinese papers because we were so busy trying to develop cognitive infrastructure last year, which helped in oral, compre and compo (where language outside syllabus is tested). We lost many marks in MCQ (where language inside the syllabus is tested). This year, after we’re done with ting-xie of about 10 chapters or so, we’ll start on the Chinese main papers instead. Maybe do about 5 before we go back to working on outside syllabus Chinese. Syllabus is constrained. No sense drilling too much or the brain will fall asleep.
