Would also like to know if it is possible to get leadership and CIP points thru performance arts CCA. If not then need to do these seperately?

Can. Any competition gets extra points. And if try are section leader or. In exco or conductor, then also extra points.
Your son doing ncc as well as choir?
Holidays, plan around schedule lor. -

No, no. :faint: Only either one of it. Just deciding which to put as first choice. Once CCA is alloted by school cannot change. So trying to gather info to help make a proper choice. Need to list down 6 choices, just like sec1 postingtisha:

Under the LEAPS:
L = Leadership (max 12 pts)
- Prefects
- Class/PE monitress
- Sch team captains
- conductors of performing groups
- members of uniformed group
- office-bearers of clubs & societies
S = Service (max 5 pts)
- Community service
- Basic: 6 hr yearly
- 100 hrs (for max pts)
Hope the above helps.
(usually the sch will help) -
Another note, eg. even if you do not have Leadership pts, it is possible to get maximum pts in other areas and obtain a distinction in CCA.

I only know it's possible to get distinction for choir CCA bc my dd was in choir in sec school. She went for 3 competitions (overseas + singapore), and was assistant section leader by end of sec 2 and section leader eventually. And she got distinction, which was a grade that was already confirmed by beginning of Sec 4, I think. She didn't even need to do much CIP bc it seems that those CIP hours she'd earlier put in in lower secondary didn't have all that much impact on her final grade as her CCA involvement was more significant.
JUst sharing for Tisha's sake, lah. -

Thanks Lynn for the info. Hmm... So there are various opportunities, it is upto the students to make themselves worthy of the positions to gain the points I guess.tisha:

Ok, thats good to know, which means no need to gain points under each of the LEAPS.
