tisha, I am also still not impress by the P after these yrs. I like the DP (was it Mr Ang? He is a great guy) and teachers much much better. You can always tell who is sincere and who is going through the motionsThe orientation yesterday was quite impressive. The boys too had a grt time at the camp. And to think the camp was mainly managed by the PSLs :salute: Even part of the ceremony ( initiation/badge pinning ) was handled by the PSLs :rahrah: They seemed to have boundless energy and enthu. Especially liked the farewell cheers for the sec1s. Was expecting the sec1s to be very tired(what with bedtime past 1am :yikes: ) but they too had caught on the enthu of their seniors and each boy came out with a smile. Overall the boys at SJI seem to be a happy lot.
Next week onwards will be proper lessons. I hope the academic rigour is also well balanced. Not to pushy but not too slack that need to depend on external tuition.
The orientation also had variou addresses by the P, DP, HOL, CCA head etc. Somehow I was not much impressed by the P. But the DP always leaves a nice impression. He has a sense of calm, caring nature and can immediately connect to the people. The HOL never fails to get a roar of laughter from the audience with his sense of humour

Ya agreed
A well organized orientation programme with a vey informative website that is promptly updated. Good job SJI !
My DS also feedback he has enjoyed himself and the PSLs were helpful and approachable
Can feel the special bonding the senior boys has for each other ..the 'Josephian' spirit

Hi nano, CCA forms will be given to them next week acc to my DS. But I thought ur DS came in thru DSA band, (not sure if I confuse u with someone else). Do u still need to submit the CCA form?
We are just going thru the TDP form to see which one DS is eligible for. This one can apply online from today I think. BTW, we can also check which EEP they have been alloted to for this term.

Thanks tisha, yes my ds dsa to the sch by band and his practice will be starting this tuesday.don't know whether still need to fill in the cca form or not.he is in archery for EEP.We do not intend to enrol for the TDP so as not to stress him with too many new things.I do not know any parents in the sch but luckily I have you and some others to share with. :grphug:
