With more and more homework coming in and with his crazy training schedules and supple class, my DS can only gets to bed mostly at 11pm. He will be lucky if he can make it to 1030pm ;(

Dear all - anyone has experience to share on topics covered for Maths? Within less than 2 weeks, DD school already covered 2 topics, algebra and fractions. Really like speed 5, no time to breathe.
For my DS, I went through some of the p6 math syllabus in advance during the dec holiday and got him to practice on the topics to make sure he is fully comfortable with it. Some of the topics are the same as those in p5 except that maybe a little bit harder to solve. Hence, the foundation for those topics must be solid. The rest will be just exposing him to different type of questions on the same topics. My motto is \"Practice makes perfect\" πŸ˜‰

Oops.. I am sorry. Just realized I am :offtopic: . My DS school has done with algebra and I think they are jumping to geometry if not wrong.

DS goes to bed at about 10pm on somedays. Most of the time so far is before that. This is the reason I won’t have DS stay for suppl classes this year. If you work it out, even going to bed at about 9.30pm leaves our DC with only about 9 hours of sleep. Children really need sleep to grow well.

For my case, I started the ca1 papers during the last 2 weeks of dec holiday last year knowing that it will be difficult to nail him down to practice on those papers. We managed to do about 2 papers each for every subjects during the holidays. Now that school opens and things start piling up, I will be lucky to have him do one paper in one day. Normally I will break the paper into 2 parts to finish within 2 days during the weekdays. On sat & sun, our target is to finish at least 2 papers for any subject he favors πŸ˜‰ hence, it may not be realistic to finish all the papers before the ca, but having say that, it would still be possible if your dc does not spend a lot time on supple class, cca trainings & tuitions.
