Based on how my friends did when I was in J1, you stand a good chance of getting into RI with an appeal, especially with your 8 A1s.

      All the best! 🙂

CCA won’t be taken into consideration during JAE as posting is done by MOE.

Does the system at MOE really look at English grades? I thought it was stated at the MOE site that in the event of two students with the same net scores, they consider citizenship followed by balloting?

JAE is by merit, so yes, looking at grades of a certain subject is considered meritocracy.

                    So here are my grades:

                    English-A1

                    Emath-A1

                    Amath-A2

                    Chemistry-A1

                    Physics-A1

                    Combined Humanities(SS/EG)- A1

                    HMT-B3

                    CCA-A2

So my net score is 3. What are my chances of getting into RI? Thanks 🙂
Need to know because I might have to start preparing appeal documents.

Great results. but if you dont have A1 in HMT i doubt if you can get in. Try and appeal through leadership or sports. Good luck.
