ngbrdad:
How exactly did your DS lose his badge when it was pinned to his shirt? :?So far DS has remembered to bring his tie to school.
But already on his second badge and nearly lost it again the past few days.
Sigh. -
Speaking of ties, I forgot to bring my tie the other day and went to buy another tie that cost me 7 bucks. Ended up going without food for recess for two entire days -__-

Oh dear!
You poor boy!
You must be famished those 2 days, considering that you are a growing boy. -
MummySTay:
Did you try getting the book elsewhere, like from Popular Bookstore?Guardian Nephew:
Thank you so much for welcoming me! My nephew is in Marsiling Sec and from what i heard from him is that lockers mostly are available for those taking Sports CCA only.
Just to share, how do you cope if your child was punish in school for not having a textbook (the school bookshop books was out of stock since Dec 2011) and was made to copy every word of the textbook (example 2pages on the textbk) on a foolscap paper?
I'm kind of shock after all its only the 2nd lesson on that subject. Will appreciate any suggestions/feedback on this. :thankyou:
Or is the book, perhaps a literature text, that is only available in the school bookshop? If it is the latter, you can always write a letter to the teacher to explain the situation.
Personally, I think it is good that the teacher is firm with the students right from the start. A disciplined class has fewer distractions from disruptive students. Of course, as parents or guardians, our hearts may ache lah!
Thank you for your feedback. Yes indeed the book is only available in the school. We did search high & low in the local book stores and Popular but to no avail. I had emailed the teacher based on your feedback and she reply that, she did punish my nephew just so that he wont missed out on the lessons. I do understand teacher's need to be firm but they also need to be fair as well. Hopefully the books will arrive soon. Keeping my fingers crossed. :xedfingers: -

Thanks, jtoh. Will ask DD to do that. Never mind, tie can be giam chye cos only a small portion is visible....keke...the rest is well hidden under the pinafore.
Just leave one tie permanently in the school bag. She'll never forget it. It'll look a bit giam chye but better giam chye than a whole collection right?Tinkerbelle:
Haha....DD bought 1 tie during Orientation but she forget her tie last week for assembly so she had to buy another tie from the prefectorial Board. Now....she has 2 ties. Hopefully, her tie collection won't grow by year end...keke -
verykiasu2010:
yes, in RI, you can rent from the prefect....
Really? Just curious, how much is the rental of tie in RI?Tinkerbelle:
Can provide tie rental service to cover the cost of the purchase!
Haha...that's a great idea.....maybe charge $1 per rental....cheaper than $8 for a new tie.... :rotflmao:

He will only pin the badge on his shirt when he reach school and remove it once he leave school.

So once he remove the badge, very easy to misplace it, or it drops off from his pocket/ school bag. -
