      Dear parents,

Any one knows about this book \"essential fiction\" for P3s. The Tr asked for it but it's not part of the booklist. Search all the web still no idea!

      Thanks for anyone who knows.
      Cowgraz
My gal asked me too, and I showed her the booklist that it was not stated at all. Information abt the book also very vague..no publisher, author etc. I told my gal to get more info from teacher..or better still get teacher to order for the class.

Aiyo, vague requests like this and last minute cancellation of the Math enrichment y’day is really irritating me! Shows lack of planning and IMO, the girls at this age, want to be independent and need the environment and support to grow their self esteem.

This is really not helping as they feel the lack of control - being shuffled abt between Mummy and Tr/school requirements, much as they try to get things done. I know my girl and some of her friends went to the book shop, who also said they don’t know what the book is.

For 2 days now, I’ve asked my girl to get more information fr the Tr!

Yes, I tried emailing the form teacher to start enrichment a week later ... but it was not successful. Feel sorry for her as many pple wld already been in Holiday Mood. Sigh I think I'm now \"blacklisted\" by the Tr for being a bothersome mother!!!

I cannot understand why remedial cannot start next week...my son will be dismissed at 1030am on Fri. Daughter not only doesn't have early dismissal but remedial as well on both days :yikes:
Anyway, I've informed both teachers daughter will start remedial next wk as this week I'm busy with urgent errands and have logistic prob picking her.

Janet, your son's sch so good what? Released at 10.30AM? My ds' sch has lessons till almost noon then celebration begins! They end just half an hour earlier so that is a CNY treat for them, let off half an hour earlier - LOL!! But I don't mind la cos I have the whole morning to busy myself in the kitchen preparing the dishes for CNY, CLAP CLAP!!

There wasn't any math enrichment ytdy..thought the schedule was given out last week. The maths enrichment will begin next week..but the English and Science will commence today..from 130 to 330 and she will continue dance club from 330 to 530..very tiring and long day for her.

              HI Honey,

My son had this viral fever which came on suddenly on Wed morn…gave him paracetamol and sent him to school…called me at 10am to pick up him. Brought him to see doctor when fever didn’t subside.
Guess what, doctor gave him 3 days MC !!! Because of the high fever, he had rashes…otherwise he is much better…TOUCHWOOD.

Hugs to you Janet. Hope your ds recovers real soon. Yes, the rashes would subside onces he recovers. You can let him take Zyrtec to relieve the rash & itch. Did your family take the flu jab? If not, you might want to consider taking it after he recovers. We try to take all precaution we can & even tho the flu jab doesn’t cover all strains of virus, it does offer some protection against some viruses.

                  Thanks for your advice Honey.
Does this flu jab protect us from getting sick easily...given that taking precautions like personal hygiene is still taken? Thanks.

I asked my gal ytdy and she said teacher will be doing a mass order for them. She explained that her teacher asked the class if anyone has a copy because she wanted to confirm the no. of copies to order.
