      Hi Starlight & Angelz88

      Many thanks for your feedback.

Starlight, am former Rulang student, hence can register my ds in phase 2A.

Angelz88, which mean you send your child to the school in the morning? Heard RPS is going to be single session, maybe next year. I may send ds to the school in the morning and back by school bus also. It will be really tiring for ds to wake up early in the morning to catch the school bus. Heard it will reach my place at 6am if in the morning session.

Btw, what time should the kids report at school for the morning session now?

Nope, I don't send them. They take the school bus to and fro.

My dd boards at 6.30am. She normally reaches home within 30mins from school dismissal.

          Hello Snowbee88,
Rulang will go single session maybe by the year 2014. My DS2 will start P1 next year and its in the pm session. Actually, they were supposed to start work on constructing an extra building last Nov, but its been delayed. FYI, I live in Toh Guan Rd. DS1 school bus arrives at 5.53am. and he reaches home at 2.30pm.... on ISR and CCA days, I go take him home. DS1 wakes up at 5.30am every morning. The kids will get used to it la.

[quote=\"metta\"]Hi, my son is new to Rulang. I'm thinking of asking for a day leave on next Wednesday as we will be traveling back to Malaysia. Anyone has experience asking for leave in Rualng? What is their policy? Would they accept such reasons? Thanks in advance.

Inform the form teacher about your request. Am sure he/she is understanding enough.

            Hi Metta,

Just write a letter to your son's form teacher to excuse him on Wednesday. I did that since he was in P1-P3 as we travel out on CNY. Only this year, we'll come back in time for school. 🙂

            Enjoy your trip!

Thanks starlight and silverhorse. will try that.

            HI starlight and silverhorse
i wrote a letter to the teacher explaining that we will have to take Wed off. imagine my shock when my son came back and relate to me that the teacher said \" i'm sorry, you can't!\"
this is utterly shocking! he is my son and i can't decide???? i'm in a dilemma now, not because of the school- now i couldn;t care a damn about them; it's my family and i'm not in control, not you!!! my fear is my son will bear the brunt when he comes back. will the teacher scold him; shame him; blame him? sigh!!

              Metta,

So sorry to hear that. I'm equally shocked as well. Was the teacher joking with him? Maybe you should send an e-mail to Ms Christina Foo ( pupil's management ) For the past 3 years, I do not get this kind of replies. Most teachers wished me a great holiday. In fact, this morning, my DS did not go to school and I sent an e-mail to his FT. She replied me cheerily...

I think his FT will not shame him, scold him... the teacher have no right to do so.

Ms Foo e-mail address is [email protected]

I think it’s better to either call or email the FT to clarify.
My girl (P1) and her cousin (P6) is in Rulang.
Her cousin applied to excuse herself from school from today till 30/1 (Mon) w/o any problem… so I think it could be a misunderstanding.

                    Dear all,
There was a misunderstanding as you all have wisely suggested. After clarification with FT, it is now settled. I can really enjoy my holidays now! Thank you all for \"listening\" to my ranting and pointing me to the right direction.
Happy New Year and happy hols!
