DD1 learnt erhu during music class. She's happy with erhu becos the lesson is conducted in an air-con room :rotflmao:
Tingxie will be a few days after CNY. All the hypy..... :faint: but I'm sadistic, getting her to learn the Chinese characters too
Will not be taking up the Chinese literacy lesson becos want to keep her Sun free. I want a balanced study-play life for her. :rahrah:
I'm too lazy to ferry her to Marine Parade for lessons........Plus on days that she have PE, she's tired out and will need her nap. Lucky live relatively near to the school. -
Haha sahm tan, glad to see your girl enjoying her school. Yes, air on is always a added bonus for kids.

Simsl_sg,Thanks Sahm tan. I visited the centre at marine parade, a small set up. The lesson cost $30 each at the centre. The staff emphasize is cheaper at hw due to the free use of classroom. For students who can recognize many words, they push them to higher level, eg. He has a p2 doing p3 class.
Thanks to psg effort for organizing the great event yesterday, was fun for kids especially the egg drop game. Looking forward to more events in future.
Any other comments on the Parents' event? -

Hi, would like to check if any of your kids join CCA at P1 or P2. My DS (in P2) is interested in rope skipping. Wondering if it will be taxing cos it is listed as 2 times a week.
Also, he just received letter to attend Chinese Stretch programme (2.15 - 3.15pm on Wednesdays). Would like to check if any parents have contacts for transport arrangement. School bus operator told me they only fetch at 4.30pm on cca days (Tuesdays & Thursdays) It’s quite a stressful task to arrange for logistics for working mothers ! Sigh. So, would really appreciate help of any sort from fellow parents. -
hi apple123,
on the cca, I called up the school. it may be that child only has to stay back once a week for the cca. The teacher told me that Tuesdays is for all, thursdays for understudy to school team and Sat is for school team only - but sorry, I can’t recall which cca that is.
My kid in P2, and we decided to forego the cca for another year. next year then join. -
DD1 is in P1 but she's interested in wushu, so will let her try when rec the form

This applies to both Wushu and Rope Skipping. Basically, if the child has potential, he/she will be selected into School Feeder team. It will be twice a week training for feeder team. For School team member (competition squad), they will attend training 3 times a week (additional Saturday). -

I received it last week also. Was puzzled what is that stretch programme about. DD got it for both English and Chinese. Is it DD can't catch up that's why need extra lessons... I think they should add on to the letter. On what is the stretch programme about.. what is their aims.... etc.. so we parents can have a clearer picture also.

DM (Dear Mum) will help me fetch her back from school.
Any mummies know.. canteen still sells food after school or not?
