Like that wouldn’t the teacher have no life? I really don’t expect the teachers to go to this extent. An unhappy teacher will not be able to teach effectively. I’m actually happy that my ds doesn’t have any homework except maths once a week. Lol. There will be a PTM in march so u will be able to find out your child’s progress then. Does it really matter if we know or not know what is being taught? I think a term summary of what was covered is sufficient. No need daily update.

So far my son’s teachers have been very prompt in replying SMS and email to me. I think they are really dedicated. I once ‘talked’ to his form teacher till midnight! Even late at 10pm+, after her children slept, she had to mark the sch work. We must bear in mind that they have their own family too and so we must be reasonable in our expectations.

Your son is lucky to have a dedicated teacher :celebrate: Wonder who is his teacher?

Btw, my friend’s son is in Peiqun Pri one. She isn’t very happy about the extent of hw they have. He has hw everyday! Do hw till 1030pm everyday. And hw for every subject. Do u really want to do that to our children? Learning should be a joy.

Peiqun is a SAP school so they must keep up their standard, can't compare with the neighbourhood school.

Good suggestion on the email from teacher. Will propose and see the reaction. Not sure if the school will agree as.teachers will consider this as increase workload.

The 3 classes seems to be based on their vocalisation and recognition. They will be constantly reviewing the stds as what has been gathered.

Let’s see how they progress towards end of term 1. Look out for next plg meeting date. Your voices are important and should be heard.

Mashy is right. I also had good response from ds ft and Chinese teacher. Other mommies of same class also had same experience.

The teachers do have a heavy workload. Not only curriculum teaching but also.other work that the school may have for them. Marking homework is no joke. What’s more, they also have their own children to guide at home.
