My kitchen swing door just fell apart.

Anyone using the Swing Slide Door by http://www.swingslide.com.sg?
              Or PD Door by http://www.pddoor.com.sg/?
              Is it durable? Expensive?

I bought cheap and good cabinets from this neighbourhood shop - Dekia Furnishing at AMK. They don't display much but they have catalogues and the delivery is free.

Fave shops include VHive for more solid furniture (TV console, dining table, chairs etc) and Ikea for non-essential items.
                  hi cherrygal,

Dekia Furishing is located at which blk of AMK?

                  thanks 😉

I won’t really class vhive furniture under sturdy…but I stand corrected because it’s been sometime since I last went in.

I bought a wardrobe from vhive n years ago to put in kids room…simple one (3 doors with 3 pull out drawers on one side). When it arrived, I knew it was a bit salah. there are 3 pull out drawers on one side, this model pull out drawers can only stretch so far and they don’t have rollers - so the pulling is not smooth (sorry, my thoughts and words are not adequate to describe).

Also, vhive furniture I find tend to be of mdf (compressed wood). it’s alright for light use, but never think to put heavy stuff on it. My doors can’t close properly because I like to put things on top (my fault).

And lastly, look at what are supporting the drawers if it’s those teensy transparent looking plastic holders, be aware that these will spoil over time - esp if there are some weight. We had to go Ikea to buy their metal holders (used in bookshelves) to replace.

FYI, for wardrobe with big sliding doors, be aware that you should not put heavy stuff on top of such wardrobes. doing so may cause the top part to sag due to weight. my friend’s wardrobe door could not be used because of this.
