hihi,
Am new to this forum.
Currently, I do have a domestic helper but am thinking of discontinuing my contract with her as I am quite tired of domestic helper's problems.
Intend to put by ds in full time childcare (he is attending half day at the moment), but I realised that without a domestic helper means my ds will have to be up at 6 plus every morning so that my hubby can send him to school before he heads out for work. The thought of that makes me wonder if I should just keep the maid so that my boy can take the school bus which only comes at 8am...
Also concern over how I will be able to attend to son's needs cause my work very often requires me to bring home work to do...such are the dilemmas I have regarding the employment of a maid...
Wonder if there are others like me who do not have in laws or parents to help in the caring of kids and end up in a torn between to keep or release the maid...
You are not the only one. There are several working parents facing the same issue, at least me. -
Hi
Are PRCs legal to work as PT maid? -
MrBig:
Yes, mine too. This is the work breakdownMine used to $12...
and honestly .. it really wasn't worth it.
1) hour 1 - take a cloth and wipe surface of furniture
2) hour 2 - vacuum and mop
3) hour 3 - wash 2 toilets and my son's shoes
4) hour 4 - iron clothes (4 shirts, 1 pants, 3 sets of uniforms) .
bedsheets, windows, fans - only clean when I ask her to, and I live in a 5-rm flat.
I am still the one who washes, hangs and folds the clothes.
There was once she came late by one hour (without any reason), and after I told her I have another appointment later, she can still complete everything within 3 hours.
Recently, she complained to me about her new customer being very calculative. Then she let it slip that she can complete the work in 2 hours but not worth it to travel all the way there and earn only 2hours, so PT maids normally drag the process to last at least 4 hours.
Sigh, thinking of changing, or doing DIY. -
Can someone pls share your contact for local part time maid (no PRCs or Filipino)? I’m unwell now and desparately need one to help clean the house. Location: Central.
Kindly pm me the contacts and hourly rates please.
Thank you very much in advance. -

Agree. Mine too always cannot finish the job and worse I have to clean up after her each time. Today she left part of the kitchen hood on the kitchen table. I presume she thinks I will fix it back myself after I reminded her to clean.
