There’s oral and written test that was done in the first week and the children were ‘streamed’ based on that. I don’t think it’s such a big deal unless our children’s mt is very good and can do higher Chinese in future. If mediocre, I think normal Chinese will be better for them then they can concentrate on other subjects. When they are in pri 4, the parents will be advised again whether to drop higher Chinese to normal Chinese or continue with higher Chinese.

When I said 'fair' means 'how they fare'...sorry, typo error....hee.... but anyway, will wait for the teacher's reply on this.

I used sewing machine. It's not visible to the eye. I used white and stitched it at the inner edge of the brown circumference.
Thanks for this, mashy! 😄 Will try this out over the weekend...

                Dear Mommies

Highlights! There is Chinese show and tell this week. English show and tell will start in week 8. For Chinese show and tell, ds ask for help to prepare q&a. For English, we had received a letter from teacher.

Have checked with MT teacher, just bring the favourite item to school and they will be introducing how to describe in Chinese. Don’t know why Ds wants to write the q&a. We helped him to prepare what he ask for.

i stitched the name tags on the PE t-shirt and uniform… tried to use the same colour thread as the border… can see the thread but think it’s ok.

oh dear… my DD didn’t tell me abt chinese show-and-tell…

for Guzheng, I didn’t know we had to wait for confirmation and my dad helped me bring my DD to school last friday and joined the CCA…

she told me that they had injection yesterday… but don’t know what it’s for. haven’t return the health booklet…

flotan: its the 2nd booster against polio. they would have had the first one at 18 months or so

nametags, we also stitched as well as we could as it dropped after one washing. Ds teacher did advised to stitch on but in hurry, just ironed.

the kids were verbally advised last week to turn up on which day for their cca they signed up. anyone knows which day is gymnastics
