Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)
-
Heard that Yu Ren @Beauty World helps to prepare Show & Tell, that ‘s why some parents who want 100% outsource of CL lang are going for them. But you pay 2x the price of other CL enrichment classes.
Anyone knows the credentials of Yu Ren? -
My P3 son has been in Tien Hsia since 3 years old. He still doesn’t speak much Mandarin but managed to get into higher chinese in school so I guess it really helps cos I do not really coach him much as well. However, now that he is in P3, I wonder if it is enough. His school chinese teacher recommends that I send him for chinese composition class too. May look at Tien Hsia as well. But I am open to recommendations. Anyone? East Coast vicinity. Thanks

Anyone heard of Beijing Language Centre? Good?

I recommend Xuelin Learning Hub in Katong, their new outlet! I find their teachers are very caring and can inspire my P3 and P1 boys to look forword to Chinese classes. My boys come back with newspaper articles every week and even discuss with me. :imcool:

I have just posted the following in another thread:

My friend sends her children to the Bukit Timah Plaza branch. I understand that she is very satisfied and recommends me when Katong branch opens.
I really love their newspaper articles selection. I have seen my friend’s children files; and chatted with them about them. I am impressed as my friend now subscribe Chinese newspaper! Not fully utilised but I think it’s a good start. You can consider Xuelin. -

Hi, am looking for Chinese enrichment tutor for k1 to come to my place. Living around eastside. Any recommendations?

Hi, Anyone heard of Beijing Language Centre? Good? Currently I send my son K2 to Berries, just started this year. They don’t teach han yu pin yin. Someone told me Beijing Language Centre is good. Anyone knows?

Hi, I recommend you to send to Xuelin in Katong 112. K1 is too young to have home tuition, it’s very tough to build their interest in learning Chinese.Xuelin has a good circurrilum which includes introducing newspaper reading from K1. They have small class size, 8 max and their committed teachers can look after all the little one very well. But they are expensive! My P2 and P4 are with them but at the Bukit Timah branch. I feel the pinch but have to admit that the $$$ is well spent. My 2 kids simply love going to Xuelin.
Try to talk to the lady boss or Wang Lao Shi, they are very professional. What I like about them is that they openly share their knowledge regardless if you are to enrol with them or not.
