Net rumour that Yaw Shin Leong having extra-maritial affair

Apologies for my \"Rally\". Actually, it doesn't matter who takes the office. He or she must at all times be accountable for his or her acts. My point is that if one is okay to lie to or cheats his/ her spouse, what will stop him/ her from doing same to his constituents...? Also, the very mention of 'not commenting on rumors', shd , at most come only from ppl not in the know, ie.LTK. But for YSL, it cannot & shd never be termed as 'rumor'. YSL is the main character being accused, & he jolly well knows if he did it or not! How then can this be termed 'rumor' by him?? Let the Yes be Yes & the No be No. He shd either refute it rigorously or admit tt he had made a grave mistake against his wife & both families involved. That way, u may gain some bits of sympathies that wld otherwise be totally lost! WP must also stand up & push the issue, so that no one will say they are also taking cover, like young recruits sometimes do...! Just my opinion...

there is no reason to believe there is any truth in it.. no credible sources, no pictures, no evidence, no proof.. just someone say only.. And the person who provided the story didn't even have the honor or gut to say the full name.. just saying some Mr Yxx from some Opp party or something to that effect..

If there is nothing here, why have LTK and YSL not CATEGORICALLY stated that circulating rumours are UNtrue? They have no sense of the damage that is being done to their image, that all they can come up with is the limp \"we do not comment on rumours\"?

Even ST came out to say that their staff was not involved.

What they are hoping for, by lying low, is for die-hard supporters to slowly start to rationalise to themselves that this is all a PAP conspiracy, and that there is malicious reporting by the press, and it is all falsehood.

They did not say it was falsehood. They are hoping that their supporters will form that impression in their mind, as you apparently already have.

As for \"evidences\".. it need not be material.

Take for the JN case.. Why did he have to admit? becasue there are evidences.. in the form of involved parties coming out to talk about it.. or \"witness\" (someone actually standing OUT to talk about it, not hide behind the internet) or something to that effect.

If it were reported in the press, like I mentioned earlier, it would have more credibility.

Just bcoz someone \"vaguely\" say so and so sleep together on the net, w/o any credibility, you're going to believe them? Well, your choice. I don't.

To put in another perspective.. If there is very compelling evidences to suggest that they had an affair.. even if he come out and say he did not, I may not believe him also.

I also do not see any necessity for them to come out and clear the air even if it is not true, at this moment. If I were to handle it, I would wait.. wait for an opportunity.. wait for someone to make a defamation remark then take him to court and clear it together.

Of coz, there is still the possibility that they indeed have an affair. I did not rule this out. Just that, at the moment, I have no reason to believe it.

pictures of them visiting the clinic? doctor's testimonial etc.. if they can get hold of it. If someone willing to STAND OUT and talk about it, it would have more credibility too. That, is what I meant by \"evidences\", in the form of witnesses etc.. Not some unknown figure sprouting vague remarks on the net.

I heard that everyone in the party has been barred from commenting. The decision came down from the party leadership and it's not because the members involved did not dare to face up to the rumours.

As for why they have been barred from commenting, it's anyone guess. But it appears that the conspiracy has nothing to do with the PAP. Someone is just out to ruin Yaw Shin Leong.
