i stitched the name tags on the PE t-shirt and uniform… tried to use the same colour thread as the border… can see the thread but think it’s ok.


oh dear… my DD didn’t tell me abt chinese show-and-tell…

for Guzheng, I didn’t know we had to wait for confirmation and my dad helped me bring my DD to school last friday and joined the CCA…

she told me that they had injection yesterday… but don’t know what it’s for. haven’t return the health booklet…

nametags, we also stitched as well as we could as it dropped after one washing. Ds teacher did advised to stitch on but in hurry, just ironed.

the kids were verbally advised last week to turn up on which day for their cca they signed up. anyone knows which day is gymnastics

Lyl10, just ask Ds or check their chinese writing book. Our Ds showed us his chinese writing book.

Thanks for this taurbear...we are also not aware of this Chinese show and tell...jia lat....gotta ask his MT teacher now...

BTW, is there a Chinese writing book? All along, we are only referring to the blue journal book and the 'homework/spelling/letters' file when communicating to the teachers...I am not sure if we missed out the 'Chinese writing book'. Is that supposed to be a teacher-parents communication written in Chinese ? - confused....

i think its more like bring an item and they will be taught in spoken and written on how to talk about this item. Ds was more interested in preparing questions and answers.

Ds was asked to prepare 3 writing books for chinese, 1 for ting xie, 1 for zhao ju and 1 written as hua wen. He has written this instruction to bring the item to school in the last book.

taobaby, teacher didnt mention when but they are to bring it in this week as he asked to search for his favourite toy car and said he needed to bring it in.

They will be guided over the next 3 weeks on how to describe the item they have brought. Was advised by MT teacher, a further discussion would be held should Ds not able to manage.

Hi all,


My son's MT teacher just called me...son is in 1.6, but he and another friend need to move to 1.7 during MT lessons. Learnt from 1.7 MT teacher that they have streamed the students based on the language conversation and reading ability...1.6 and 1.7 are considered the better classes...students will be continually monitored for their progress and by end of Primary 1, they will be streamed again....

As for the Show and Tell, 1.7 MT has not started yet...the teacher mentioned that not all classes have the same timing, depending on the priority of the class...some class may not do it officially as teachers do observe students' ability to do this from their daily classess...So, she had advised us to wait for her notification...

I asked for a parent-teacher communication with MT teacher and she mentioned that she too, will write on the blue journal book...vice-versa, if we wants to share anything with the MT teacher, please write in the journal book and ask our children to show it to them...she cautioned us that writing the book in chinese character may take time (for our kids) and hence, we may not see this coming so soon...children still need to learn writing chinese before they can write in their journals...

Lastly, I asked her for feedback on my son and the overall class in 1.7. Was advised that our kids are still unsettled yet...the classroom is still noisy as the children are adapting to P1...unlike K2, where the attention from teacher is better to them, they are learning to adapt to P1 now...so, I think we should be more patient and relaxed...
