        refer school info:-

        http://app.sis.moe.gov.sg/schinfo/SIS_SearchDtls.asp?strCode=7118

        as of now:-
        for affliated pupils: 211
cut-off point for current 2011 Sec 1 cohort is 211.

for last year outsiders (non affliated): 249 (for GCE O level Express stream)

for this year P6 students - depend on market demand forces.
ie. depend on the number of P6 affiliated students applying for St Nick Secondary, and at what points they achieved.

pioneer batch of Sec 1 Integrated Programme (IP) St Nick students intake - commence Jan 2013.
neaer the time next year - COP for pioneer IP stream intake, then be disclosed.

Hi, was thinking to register my son either in Mayflower Pri or teck ghee Pri for next year p1? Didn’t know that teck ghee Pri is quite a good sch until I read this forum. Both schools ate in single session, right? Not very familiar with schools in amk area. I will be using my in law’s address in amk as my mil is helping to look after my kids. TG Pri is within 1km whereas MFp was their cousin’s school. Please advise.

            @boyz

Do take note that if you are using a caregiver's address to register, you will be considered to be in the 1 - 2 km category, even if the actual distance is within 1km.

            Taken from http://www.moe.edu.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/statutory-declaration/ :

If statutory declaration is used, children who are registered using either the grandparent’s or the parent’s sibling’s address and residing within 1 km or between 1 km and 2 km of the school of choice are balloted together with the other children residing between 1 km and 2 km of the school.

              Hi

Can someone advise the preferred choice of primary schools in Ang Mo Kio based on academic performance aside from Anderson Pri and St Nick? Tks?

                Dear Experience Parents

We’re staying in Bishan St.22 area, currently there are few schools in the neighbourhood, kindly advise us which school to enroll for our daughter born year 2007 (this year will be 5 years old) and what should we prepare.

                Within 1km:
                1 Teck Ghee
                2 Townsville

                Within 1-2km:
                1 Ai Tong
                2 AMK Primary
                3 Guan Yang
                4 Jing Shan
                5 Kuo Chuan

We’re Catholic family, will we have a better chance to enter Catholic school but none within 2km? kindly advise.

With current MOE P1 registration new rule we as PR has very limited option, and we understand goverment move.
Your advise on which good school will give our daughter higher chance to enter is appreciated.

                Dear Moderator
I also posted the same query on Bishan area; since we live in Bishan-AMK boundary.

                Thank you

Hi, do not go to AMK Primary school, the principle is not responsive and some of the teacher are violent and not responsible. They do not really prepare the student for their PSLE and if you refer to their website, their PSLE standard are below national average.

Townville and Teck Ghee have good review from others parents who stay around my area and also a feedback from 1 of the Guan Yang teacher that GY is not that great.

I intend to register my DD to Marymount Convent, does anyone has any feedback to share with me?
