Phoon Huat has almost all the things that you need for baking, whether CNY, X’mas, Moon cake, birthday, any types of parties.

Try the one inside Toa Payoh NTUC, it is quite well stocked up.

May i know whether mummies out there can make chocolate eclairs.

I am able to make chocolate eclairs. But my eclairs are ugly as I don’t know how to pipe the batter out. In fact I did not pipe out, I just use spoons to scoop out and they are all irregular shaped.

May I know what equipment do i need to pipe eclairs? thanks!

Hi there, if you want your eclair to look great, you need to pipe it out. The items that you will be needed are piping bag and star noozle (preferably no. 822). You can get these items at Phoon Huat. If you do not know the address, pls google it as it have a number of branches in Singapore. Cheers!! 🙂

Hi smurf, there was once I needed all the princess figurine for my girl’s birthday cake. I finally got it after googling. So you may wish to source for it on the net.

Smurf, what kind of figurines are you looking for? I used a small Precious Moments one for my daughter’s birthday. Also sourced on Etsy for unique, hand made cake toppers but the shipping cost a small fortune.

I have a few non stick pan. One of them has very tiny scratch which has a little coating coming out. The pan is still quite new. Will you throw it away because the pan has tiny scratches that you can see the under layer of the pan? I find it such a waste but yet I worry about the "bald" scratch marks may harm the food?

                        peapot,

For non-stick pan, I think its better to throw away. There might be some chemicals in it that may be harmful to the body if consume for a long period.

But its also really a waste. So try to use wooden spatula when using non-stick pan to prevent any scratches.

                        😉
