DS going to his taekwondo grading this wkend... hope everything goes smoothly
What's your DS belt?
DS2 went for his green tip yellow belt grading 2 weeks back... So for this level, he'll have to purchase shin guards, elbow guards... Am in a dilemma to continue TKD for him? He's only 6 this year and I'm not looking forward to the sparring leh.... -

but now he was asked to join poomsae as he can rem the actions and movements, n schl wana send him for competition...
i ask dh if want to send ds2 for TKD this year since most likely we gonna send him for that CCA next year in P1. dh said K2 is still too young for TKD (in his opinion as he started in P2 last time), so this year nothing much planned out for ds2. :imanangel: -

It is usually the case that it will be taught in P1. Some schools Will do a basic test to group pupils that already knowๆฑ่ฏญๆผ้ณ together. Then the teacher will not teach as they already know. So it's revision for them. In fact, the kids will catch it fast as generally kids nowadays are strong in phonics.I was told by one of the enrichment centre that P1 teacher does not teach Han yu pin yin, they will only do revision in P1 !!! is this true !! :yikes: :scared:
As kindy teacher told me that they are not encourage by MOE to teach Han Yu Pin Yin as P1 teacher will teach in P1... but now i am hearing different story...
anyone can confirm wheather P1 teacher will teach Han Yu Pin Yin from scratch or just revision... :?: -

Hi all!
How do u celebrate ur kid's b'day other than in CC?
I usually celebrate at her kindy and/or with some friends at home. But I never hire any magician or etc. This time think about that as kids grew older, they can enjoy. But the cost should be affordable then only can consider. I visited to neighbour house, they hired . Any tips please?
How about outdoors? Expensive?
I am taking it easy with DD2 coz I realised P1 isn't as scary I thought it would be or maybe the pace of the school is pretty good.
ok, back to topic, usually it is a simple home celebration.
There are Seb's Bistro and Playhouse. usually head there for play dates and they host birthday parties as well.
Hired a magic show for DD1 for kindy last year with ballon making. Pondering a Science Themed birthday for DD2 this year for her kindy. -
