Got a shock today! SAPS is moving to Jurong East temp for 2yrs. I am wondering if school bus will charge more for further distant during this 2 yrs.

appreciate if you could shed more light on this relocation cos apparently on SAPS website it is stated as \"Enhanced Infrastructure project / relocation of school to the holding site\". what does it actually mean? registering my boy this year so hope to find more info. thanks in advance!

Happyfeet, SAPS is moving to a holding site for 2yrs from next year Jan onwards. The current school will be upgraded with more classrooms and facilities. But if u r reg for primary one this yr, the distance from ur house to the school
Remain unchanged.
There is more tpt issues yet to be finalize so we are not too sure the outcome yet. -

- will they demolish & rebuild the school?
- thought they just upgraded the school not too long ago & that they're adding a new block in the existing location now?
- will it be a single or mixed session at the temp JE site?

Yes, all anthonian and their teachers will relocate to jurong (used to accommodate Da Zhong last year) for academic year 2013 to 2014. In holding school they will still operate as 2 session with P1 P2 in the afternoon session.
They are going to move back to bt Batok for academic year 2015 with single session.
As for rebuilding is still on going discussion, but apparently they will not demolish the whole building instead they are going to upgrade from existing one and additional block for extra classroom and facilities.
But again, all still in discussion as school trying to minimize inconvenience during the relocation. Currently, this is the updated info that I can share with you. Rest assure, the school will do their best with all anthonians in mind -

When you say 'all still in discussion' does this mean there is a possibility that MAYBE there is no move? -
happyfeet11, it is definitely going to move as contracts had been awarded.
It is the design of the improvements and other issue that is pending for discussion… ie transport
