        Dear Evergreen,

For the second qn, let your child know that there is an unknown whole, a part of 127 is removed and the remaining part left is 343. To find the whole, combine the 2 parts to give the whole.

For the third qn, the same concept applies. 674 is the part removed from the whole. If the remaining part is 279, adding the two parts form the answer to the whole.

        Part + Part = Whole
        Whole - Part = Part

        Best regards.

            Hi Mummies,

I bought this title recently as daughter's teacher advised me to brush up on HTO. Usually not one to get Casco, I find that this title is able to help her build her confidence as there are 4 levels of difficulty...starting with 'drill' which has 3 exercises before going on to the next level. Have bookmarked this for P3. http://i43.tinypic.com/244wkue.jpg\">

I only bought Cloze P2 from Casco...she has done the HTO section in Visible Math but still needs weak in it. So I found the 4 'levels' of difficulties in Casco step-by-step very appropriate for her !!
The teacher finally taught models yesterday...so later part of this week will get hubby to revise with her. :siam:

Step-by-step was one of my DS's 1st assessment book, he used it during P1. I also thk it is pretty good too.

Agreed with evergreen the challenging part is pretty difficult - s'times i need to flip the answer sheet to find out the answers... :boogie:

This yr i did not get the same book, wanted to try sth different... so trying Distinction in maths (by JUST) now, he still can manage the sums on his own, but he cant when he does \"Challenging Maths\"...
But the progress is superslow ..so difficult to squeeze out time for assessment books!!.........(not to mention there are other subjects..)
