      hi Ivy,

To my knowledge, Badminton CCA will start in Term2, reason being these few months are competition months, thus coach and teachers-in-charge are busy with the competition schedule. So do not worry too much about joining yet. 😂[/quote]

      Hi Astee,

I spoke to the class form teacher BC yesterday, she said my son is still not ready for CCA....sobs :nailbite: I've not told my son yet that she thinks he should start only next year. I feel bad that he will be dissappointed. 🤷

I feedback on the CCA changes too, that many of us are not sure what is happening after we do our selection. She mentioned that the students are told to enrol themselves if they are interested, that is to see the TIC and get the consent form. I've not heard my son talk about it at all. :scratchhead: I wonder if he really still dunno what is happening.

        HI Ivy,

My DS is as clueless too. They had a CCA enrollment last November and my DS did not even know or talked about it. I only found out when I read the morning annoucement from the website in December. I had to call up the general office to ask about CCA and was told to pick up the form at general office. That was how my DS got into Scouts 😂 .

          hi Ivy,

Don't feel bad, just explained it to your DS and i believe he will understand the situation and i trust the teacher know the child better and she must have the right advice for your child. 😄

Personally, I felt that the day is too long stretched for the child, especially with CCA, they are like 8 hours in school. With such early start and late ends, the child will be totally drained at the end of the day. So if the child still has school homework or tuition classes after CCA, it will leave literally no time for power nap or rest.

I rather they take power naps and do own sports/activity in the evenings.

Wishing all a good 元宵 weekend and enjoy the Chingay Celebration.

          Cheers,
          astee

            Dear all,

Hope you had an enjoyable weekend of gatherings with friends/families.

This week the school is running the Food Donation Drive, most of us would have received the letter from the school informing us the list of \"WANTED\" food. 😄

In the spirit of sharing - Happy shopping with your kiddos... 😄

            Cheers,
            astee

              Hi Astee,

Planning to do shopping today :-). DS as a scout will need to be on duty tomorrow for the food noation drive. Would like him to bring the donation over on his duty day, haha.

Hehe. One more month and the school break will come. Of course before that will ahve some tests. Parents are going to get stressed again soon. HOpe the kids do their best. Especially for P1 parents, don’t get too stressed out so soon :-).

                  Hi Kriz74Ong,

Welcome to the TGPS Forum. My boy is in P2 as well. What issues are you referring to? The PTC will be taking place soon, so you may get a chance to feedback to your child's teachers on the concerned matters.

                  regards,
                  Astee

                    Hi Kriz,

My DS also in P2 this year. DS did not mention anything about the teachers lately. Are you facing issue with them? With the recent change in school time plus the additional CCA and CCA timing changes, I do find that the communication from the school is not adequent soemtime. But that is understandable with many changes. Hope it will get better over time.

                      Hi Astee and Rejoice,

I’m not sure how do I put this… Haiz…I find that his form teacher, for P2 this year, is a little impatient with the kids and my son quite afraid of her. Just the other day, she shouted or scolded at him (without asking him the reason) in the class for not completing his corrections, and my son was very upset that he didn’t take the school bus home but walk all the way home by himself…

I don’t have any issue with teachers when he was in P1 but ever since the beginning of P2, I can see that there is a change in his behaviors. My son will complains about tummy-aches to the teacher and will either want to go to the toilet frequently or wanted to go home. He doesn’t seems to be interested in his work and i noticed that there are lots of careless mistake in his work, especially maths. He loves maths and I really don’t understand why there is a sudden change in his work.

I’m at loss now on what should I do next…
