Could it be due to global warming that the full month can stay much longer??
I saw the moon this morning, and indeed it is so round and bright...WCW:
Good morning everyone

Did u c the moon last night? It was so round and bright
thought 15th is on Monday :?
Or the lunar calendar had been miscalculated?? -

Yup, my DS seems to be an \"issue\" child.. Always need lots of reason... tried sometime to reason out with him but he always will then make sure you do what you reason out with...,
Yikes!! am i that obvious??? yes my children argue all the time!! I end up talking and talking to them. Sometimes talk to both boys at the same time, sometimes I talk to them separately. I have issues with my 2nd child..guess its the middle child syndrome!LadyInBlack:
Hi Ladyinblack,
are you a teacher ? You have 3 kidos huh? Do they fight with each other ? How do you usually resolve issue with the boys ?
sorry for the loads of question in this early hours...
Crystalbelle, LadyinBlack,
Look at the bright side, would the term and label of issues child and problem child a result of comparison among siblings? As every child is different, believe they all appreciate what we parents had done for them.
Hope it brings a new perspective to you. -
LadyInBlack:
I strongly agree and second to your statement \"if I say I would punish, I would\". For me, DH is the devil at home. So when he say it, he mean it. Which is why I had no power (being angel)..similarly when it comes to reward. Got to provide them if deem fit.Hahah..well i believe we should keep our promises..so what i do and say complement each other..so my children know that if i say i would punish them i would! its tiring each day to handle all that they throw at me...but its worth it. Im sure you feel the same! :
N yes the moon was simply gorgeous!

Dorisp, agree with you. Our parents and PIL can be a pain in the butt when we are teaching our DS / DD when they are in a wrong.Sometimes I am close to breaking down when DS is naughty plus the presence of grandma that is not the least helping with the situation......... :gloomy:
Comforting to be here that we all face almost similar problems together..........

yes...it works both ways..punishments and rewards...thats why I dont believe in empty promises. I just have to do what I say...but its good cos kids know that you mean it and will trust you. Of course there will always be times when you cant keep promises like if the rain comes down when I had promised an evening time at the playground and I have to explain that some things are just beyond my control and perhaps they could play at the playground another day..and usually I will remind them the next time they do go to the playground that its for the day they missed...I guess theres so much about parenting...and its really on-the-job training and learning. after all every child is different and different strategies work with different children. I also learnt that each child responds different with different love language. so it works if you know what love language is strong with your children..and to use it to your advantage.

KS parents:
This is the toughest to handle i feel. handling our children is easier compared to handling our parents and PIL. Ive always had them interfering in my style of discipline...I used to get maaaad at them...but Ive learnt to ignore PIL (cos no point explaining to them) and explained to my parents. however, ive realised over time that when they do see the way my children behave and handle situations..they know that it was eventually the groundwork done by me..so they stop questioning all tat i do...but ignorance is bliss... just gotta keep ignoring all those comments.
