      Hi!

I’ve a boy born in 2008. I’m from an all-girls school n my hubby’s primary school is too far away.
We stay at bukit timah n within 1km of Pei Hwa.
Hoping to get PV at Pei Hwa or if possible, Nan Hua wld b better.
But their selection for PV is end of the year.
Do you think I’ve time to do GRL if I start only at end of 2012if kena rejected for all PV?

Can I change my address to my mom’s place to do it at the RC for Nan Hua? She stays 1-2km from nan Hua. GRC where i do GRL has to include the address on ic and school too right?

First I called the school, the admin person is very reluctant to answer and push to call MOE.

MOE entertains my call, we spent 15 mins for all schools that I have in mind. The service person identify which schools and which GRC the school belongs to.
MOE website also have under P1 registration exercise page.
As MOE had given me all details, hence never tried calling PA.

it is under the P1 registration exercise website usually in May/June.

To be safe, submit application form in January when the child is 3 years old for that year.

At least you have contributed a lot of effort when the child turns 6 six years old. When you want to quit, people will not talk behind your back unless you move house far from this constituency.

Some people join RC when the child is 5 years old. Can’t make it for 1 year service, so they ask MP to write a recommendation letter to the principal of that school. Luckily, that principal exercised dignity and fairness. She rejected and asked the person to apply under phase 2C. Why owe people favour?

It is also depends whether the RC has hit their maximum members which is around 30.

It even takes longer as you will be waiting for some existing members to resign or move house.
Not many existing members will resign. They will just attend meeting to clock attendance. They still can retain their member status and enjoy some of the benefits

                      Daddy 😧

If you have a tight dateline for your EM application, then you have to keep asking about the application status...
Suggest not to do so. Else the chairman will become suspicious that you are up to something. Might make thing worst. Unless the chairman is open to this type of joining RC just for P2B benefit.

in our rc, we know who are people come to enjoy the benefits of phase 2b. Those only clock attendance and not helping in events, we will ask CO to write a letter. Those never attend meeting for 3 times according to PA rules, CO will write a letter too. We are very strict because there are too many observers queing up. Those who move house and change address on their IC, we also asked them to step down and transfer membership. We are also nice people, we give residents chance to enjoy phase 2b benefits, but must do volunteer work lah.
