Very ironic to see the school’s webpage with the 4 big Chinese words.


With just one person’s lust, the school becomes topic of the town.
The trust and respect that placed onto him is being tarnished.
The family would also be affected as they become the target of the reporters.

So really in Singapore, everything can do but just don’t get caught? Is this the real spirit?

Also… when screening potential scholars, maybe more should be place on their moral values, ethics and integrity rather than just academic performance???

教育界对前校长卷入风化案件大表震惊，受访的家长则感到失望、气愤。有家长甚至感叹：“上梁不正下梁歪。这样的校长即使离开教育界，他的行为也会对教师和学生造成负面影响。”
　　被警方传召协助调查网上卖淫案件的前校长一向给家长良好的印象，岂料爆出这样的新闻，让人大跌眼镜。黄女士（51岁）告诉记者，她的女儿和同学都非常尊敬校长，他去年底突然离开学校时，不少人惋惜之余也很纳闷。学校的家长大多以为他是因为患上抑郁症才会离开，哪知是另有原因。

　　她说：“很失望，校长应该是学生和教师学习的榜样，他怎么可以做出这样的事？我现在最担心的是，他的个人问题不知道会不会影响学校的声誉，影响孩子。”

　　有家长阅读报章报道后，揣测着这名前校长应该是华文教师的背景。陈女士（54岁）就说：“如果他真的是华文教师就应该更懂得礼义廉耻的传统价值观。道德的线应该划在哪里，他应该非常清楚。他不仅是一校之主，还是人家的丈夫、孩子的爸爸，这样做让人对教育界心寒、心痛。”

不能一根竹竿打翻全船人

　　也有家长认为，案件发展至今还没有太多确切的资料，因此太早对这名前校长的行为下定论有欠公平。

　　资讯科技顾问王格隆（45岁）的两名孩子现在都在小学就读。他觉得不能一根竹竿打翻全船人。新加坡的教育团队的整体素质还是毋庸置疑的。不过，这件事提醒教育部，遴选教师，尤其是教育领袖的过程，非常重要，应该越全面越好。

　　王格隆说：“校长和教师都是特殊的工作，他们和孩子长时间的接触，影响孩子一辈子。教育部一直在扩大教师团队，希望他们继续贯彻认真挑选为人师表者的理念，不要为了凑人数而忽略教师的道德修养。”

　　本报昨天就这起事件向教育部做出询问，但教育部回复说案件还在调查中，他们不宜置评。

Rulang has been headed by female principal all these years, how could it be this school ? And it is clearly reported that this MALE (男性）principal resigned from the school suddenly in DECEMBER 2011 !
