has anyone's DS or DD been asked to do their assignment(s) by logging on Marshall Cavendish Online?


i spent yesterday evening with my DS doing 2 of his given assignments but the stupid system update the status as \"incomplete\", even after following all given instructions & doing all given questions... :faint:

we even logged out & re do all questions again but still the same thing.. :frustrated:

wrote an email to his FT, asking if any parents encountered the same problem & will my DS's progress be affected... haiz

and to think DS has 9 assignments to do & 1 quiz...

so far i did not experience any mentioned problem when walking through http://www.mconline.sg with DS.


Did you try to contact MConline's helpdesk at 67775198 or submit the problem through their online support form?

wow, 9 assignments and 1 quiz :shock: ! a combi of EL, Mother Tongue and Math on top of hardcopy homework?

nope...did not call the helpdesk...

anyway, will log in again tonight to attempt the rest of the assignments & see if i encounter any problems.. :xedfingers:

so far DS has no hardcopy homework brought back other than the weekly spelling & tingxie. his stellar worksheets are all done in class, his chinese activities are done in class too.

to continue, i send an email to his FT & got a reply. She assured me DS's marks or report will not be affected in anyway. She has sent my feedback to mconline.


all these assignments are given till end of march to complete. do it at your own pace. :rahrah: at least DS will not be stress out to complete everything all at once.

DS was doing his mconline assignments last night. We were practicing on Plural Pronouns.

Fill in the blanks with They, We or You.

1. He is not a principal. You are not a principal too.

_____ are not principals

2. You are a soldier. He is a soldier too.

_____ are soldiers.

I am very dumbfounded with the given answer. It was given as \" You \" for the above 2 questions. Can anyone enlighten me? Why isnt the answer \" We\" since they have indicated you in the question?

Somehow, i believe the given answer is wrong. :scratchhead:

I am not an expert in this area but would like to try to give the explanation in my own understanding

In the above 2 examples, they did not use the pronoun \"I\" so can't use the answer \"WE\". So, to say since \"I\" is not in the sentence then one can't use \"WE\" but \"They\".

I hope I am not confusing you further

Strange why are the answers "you" when the nouns are plural?
