      Hi Everyone,

NTUC will collect school text books to be given to the needy from 9 - 30 November 2009. You can send to any of their outlets.

Its a shame to throw away books when we can help others who will need them. 😄
Thank you for the info. Yes indeed, it's shame to just throw away books.

The moment the psle ended, I packed up all her textbooks and just gave away to a girlfriend's child last weekend. And some of the unused assessment books (mostly Chinese) as I don't buy any others were given to my siblings' children.

With the de-cluttering, I vowed I would not buy another assessment book again but.....as usual, it is broken.... sigh...
I ended up buying a lot more assessment books that what I expected.
So clearing the assessment books is a headache to me now.. :stupid:

me too lazy to tidy up and packup gal's textbks now, still enjoying the \"stressfree period\" since psle.
Haha,me too. getting lazy now after all the stress in preparing DS and DD for exams.

Be lazy now till 22nd, then it's CLEARING time!

Call up your child’s school. They may have "needy" kids that need such kind of support. You can just pass the books to the teacher in charge of "needy kids". That’s what I intend to do. Better than giving away to friends who are financially able…

If you think it's wasteful to just trash your old text/assessment books, then do consider Freecycle:
