      ksi:

      I also pondered for a while. I believe Champion could solve this problem but got stumped by the English. The whole question was written in past tense.
      :oops: :oops: No lei, I stared at the question for 10 minutes and suddenly the :snooze: :snooze: instinct came in lioa πŸ˜‰
      ksi:
      So when it asked 'how many students were there at the school hall?\" I took it as the students after 15 left off as it was asked immediately after stating 15 students left the hall. If the question was \"how many students were there at the school hall AT FIRST?\" Then I would put 135 as the answer. So to me, this question creates this kind of lousy ambiguity, it is a bad question.
      :thankyou: :thankyou: ksi once again for your input; appreciates much :celebrate:

                A bag of flour has a mass of 3 3/4 kg. The mass of a bag of salt is 1 2/3 kg less than the mass of the bag of flour. Find the mass of the bag of salt.

                Pls help…Thanks

                  Hi

                  Perhaps you may want to read the chapter on addition/subtraction of mixed numbers.

                  3 3/4 - 1 2/3 ------2 1/12 (mass of a bag of salt)

                  Best wishes

                    Need help!

                    A bakery produced 3000 loaves of bread.
                    It delivered the bread to 75 shops.
                    65 shops received 2000 loaves of bread altogether.
                    The remaining shops received an equal number of loaves of bread.
                    How many loaves did each of the remaining shops receive?

                    I got 66 but got remainder as well.is it ok? Any key word need to look into?

                      Hi

                      Remaining loaves --> 3000 -2000 = 1000
                      Remaining shops --> 10
                      So, each of remaining shops got 100 loaves.

                      cheers.
