Hi Jedamum, looks like kids have a mind of their own these days and they will boldly say No and most of us respects that. Don't know if it is a good thing or bad. I recall during our days, our parents tell us what to learn and we usually follow and most time dare not stop half way as we are afraid of our parents. :scared:

Yes totally agreed with you Dorisp ,
At 2mths old they already have a mind of their own ... My mum used to lie abt policeman coming after us if we are naughty but nowadays school already taught kids about the proper perspective of policeman ...

I think it's the media , food and all sort of high tech stuff surrounding us that makes the kids so smart ....

Now if you tell the kids to do something they will asked for reason :faint:
Sometimes I asked DS to fetch something and he will ask why I found do it myself when I taught him to do his things by himself :faint: :faint: :imdrowning:
Sometimes I am close to breaking down when DS is naughty plus the presence of grandma that is not the least helping with the situation......... :gloomy:

Comforting to be here that we all face almost similar problems together.......... šŸ˜‚

Dorisp, agree with you. Our parents and PIL can be a pain in the butt when we are teaching our DS / DD when they are in a wrong.

This is the toughest to handle i feel. handling our children is easier compared to handling our parents and PIL. Ive always had them interfering in my style of discipline...I used to get maaaad at them...but Ive learnt to ignore PIL (cos no point explaining to them) and explained to my parents. however, ive realised over time that when they do see the way my children behave and handle situations..they know that it was eventually the groundwork done by me..so they stop questioning all tat i do...but ignorance is bliss... just gotta keep ignoring all those comments.
Ignore or one ear in and one ear out is the best method ...
PIL stay with us so when discipline kids is ultra difficult

Just took day off for the Fengshui master ....

He is the one that we use when we moved house so there is not much to purchase ... The Fengshui in the house is all and then he looks into everyone of the ba Zhi ... Breaking news that we can try for a third one this year ... My husband freak out :yikes: ... I tease him and say \" why not \" šŸ•ŗ

Asked about having a good maid/ helper , Fengshui master say this got nothing to do with fengshui lor .... :siam:
Another round of baby bonus..too bad that the budget did not improve on it this time round..
