      Hi YJL,

The only subject that I think I will revise from P3 onwards is Science,
It's also good to revise for English, Maths & Mother Tongue too.

      English:
      - Revise through basic grammar, sentence structure, synthesis & transformation, spelling lists

      Maths:
      - Practise on models, basic concepts, multiplication, division

      Mother Tongue:
      - Revise spelling lists, sentence structure, comprehension

I'll be getting her to revise both Science and Math, her two problem subjects.

Ideally, 4 hours daily is good. The only issue with dd is she will not do it if I'm not there. Need to spend 4 hours at night after a hard day of work is scary.

She's the type who doesn't care if I take her privileges away either. She only wants her mummy to be beside her, cheering her to study, assisting her when she is stuck. The very reason why I start PSLE preparation early.

How do you handle kids that are not independent and unmotivated learner to prepare for PSLE? Anyone 😒

My student's parents send them to me because they need to work & there's no adult supervision. They come to my house from morning till afternoon to study.

Possible to send your girl to a relative's house during the day?

Do we need to buy the PSLE paper ourself so as to get the kids to practise for PSLE?

Or shld we just use the top school exam paper for their practise/revision?

            Can someone advise please?

              Both.

The PSLE TYS will be out only next year around March. I have extra copies of current year's PSLE TYS for my students to do now and during the year end holidays.

The Top school exams papers for P6 (2009) are already available because my students practise the prelims papers (2009) of other top schools before this year's PSLE.

There is no limit to what students can do and practise (maybe there are more than 1000 titles of assessment books available!), but careful selection and moderation in doing practices with proper supervision is key to success in their studies.

Yes, be selective. Do not expect the child to finish all 10 schools if they
cannot. Select those most suited to them and limit the numbers of papers to be done. Put yourself in their shoes.

May I know which source did you obtain from for the 2009 Top school exam papers? Thanks. πŸ˜„

Past year PSLE papers in its \"complete\" form are not available. Only selected questions, by topics and in booklet form, are available. The old booklets on PSLE question may be available in some bookshops now. However, for the booklets that will include some of 2009 questions, you will need to wait till near mid-year. Usually they are sold through the schools although you can also purchase them from bookshops.

                      Regards
