Hi,

Pse assist.

Every morning, Mandy delivered 28 packets of potato chips while her sister delivered 10. If they delivered a total of 228 bags, how many were delivered by Mandy?

TIA

I like to try this question:-
28 x 6 = 168
10 x 6 = 60
Total = 228

So Mandy delivered 168 packets.

I do not know whether is this correct so experts please correct me if the answer is wrong :thankyou: :salute: :salute:

Another way is grouping the packets together.

All together, both sisters would deliver 28 +10 = 38 packets each morning.

Therefore for 228 packets, they would have delivered packets of potato chips for 228 /38 = 6 mornings. (assuming bags = packets, since no other info is given.)

Mandy would have delivered 28 x 6 = 168 packets.
tks!

Factors of 45 are 1,5,9and 45
1+5+9+45=60
60 is a 3rdmultiple of 20

45 = 1 x 45 = 3 x 15 = 5 x 9
Sum of factors = 1 + 45 + 3 + 15 + 5 + 9 = 78
78 / 3 = 26

cheers.

Hi,

Kindly assist to help in solving the below question.

If Lilian doubles her original sum of money, she willhave $212 more than Shafiq and three times as much as Mariam. If Shafiq and Mariam have the same amount of money, how much does Lilian have at first?

Thanks you :thankyou:
Hi

Lilian --> * * * * * *
Shafiq --> * * * * * * - 212
Mariam --> * *

Shafiq's money = Mariam's money
So, * * * * = 212, * = 53
Lilian --> * * * = 159

Lilian had $ 159

cheers.

drew models but dun know how to do it here:

half of remainder is 23+2 = 25
so he gave Don 27 stickers.
half his initial stickers is 23+27+1=51
so he had 51x2=102 at first
