i Would like to provide my point of view - my burmese maid have been working 2 years plus with me. and she is a pleasant girl who does her work well. She is my fourth maid, first 3 were filipo which was a nightmare to me.

Then i engaged her and my nightmare was gone. She helps me a lot and i treat her like my own sister.
      Good for you 😂

Nowadays, getting a good maid is like striking lottery.

Hi adaline, can kindly share which agency you get your maid from? If not convenient to post here, pls kindly pm me.

        Thanks.

        Rgds,
        Ming

          hi mommies,

For those of you who have experience with Myanmar maids, can kindly help to share some pointers, e.g. market salary, are they sticky with off-day arrangement, which are some good agencies for Myanmar maids?

          Many thanks.

          Rgds,
          Ming

A lot of them have fake ages, but you can’t do anything because the agents will tell you it’s based on their passports. But just that the birthdates in passports are not real. I had one maid whose passport claimed that she was 27 but actually she was 17. She told me most of the maids do the same thing, probably all done at Myanmar side so the agents here also fake ignorance. So might be better to see the maid in person before hiring if you don’t want someone so young. Otherwise I generally find myanmese maids quite mild mannered.

Thanks for your advice 🙂 But unless you take a transfer maid, otherwise will not be able to see the person directly?

ALL their ages are incorrect and I think they are mild mannered only when they come in but those frm the territories are loud and rude too and do what they like. They are just like the Indons 25 yrs back , all conned to come in, my last 2 ran away frm their parents.

I have used I, P and M maids and I am totally traumatized by those from M and will never employ them again.

[quote="Angelight"]Attitude wise may differ from person to person. But generally they can be quite stubborn (hard to teach, don’t listen to instructions), BIG ego, cannot lecture too much and steep learning curve in communication.

Agreed that they can be quite stubborn and don’t listen to instructions. My Myanmar maid of 9 months still lacked initiative and common sense…sigh…my first and maybe last Myanmar maid.
