If i have reached the gahmen KPI of what.. issit 3 or 4 babies of my own, can i choose NOT TO accept immigrants? :idea: Cos i have lots in my neighborhood.

Sorry to say, I no longer take this crap. I do not think governments of the world should even interfere with this population thing. All these are one of the results of urbanization, and the slow natural depletion of human kind because of the choices that we (humans) make.

In the Singapore context,
1) we have lack of land, so need to build flats so to accommodate more people within the given area,
2) phase out farms in Singapore so as to free up the land for people (after which these lands were left vacant for decades)
3) 2-child policy, many disincentives for those who have more than 2 kids,
4) need to boost population growth now, give lots of incentives for having more children or face aging population
5) Accept immigrants cos we aren't 'delivering'

And so what is the latest? Short of land - must find a way to Singaporeans to have more space (since U.S. is the only country which doesn't seem to have this problem possibly cos they have space)!!!!
