Depending on your budget, if u are willing to spend more then go for continental car. Maintenance will cost more. Likewise for Honda.
If u are just looking a family car then go Toyota. Maintenance cost is lesser. -
It’s more for work. My ah lau is involve in project work thus he needs to travel all over Singapore.

Great news, transfer fee for 2nd hand cars has been scrapped. Now you only need to pay $11 to transfer the car. So buyers of larger used cars can save up to $1000 in transfer fees.
Regarding your question, a Subaru Impreza (not the WRX) is quite a good car for daily usage. It was highly recommended by my bro’s garage owner friend. Can’t go wrong since the Singapore Police Force uses them for their police cars. They use the WRX for expressway patrols and the normal Impreza for the neighbourhood police.
Another good car is the Mitsubishi EX if you want a sharper design. It’s good value for money and made in Japan.
Toyota Corolla is reliable but now all made in Thailand and the look isn’t anything to shout about. -
i wouldnt suggest the impreza
cos of high maintenance… the boxer engine is different from our normal inline 4
hence even normal maintenace oso abit more complex
if need a normal point A to point B car and needs reliability
why not consider the korean warhorse? -
Korean cars drink a lot of petrol… drove one before… big drinker coz car body is really heavy. Maintenance is cheap but not fuel economical.
