Mediapolis is the new site for Mediacorp and they will be moving there.Hi,
Just a quick update after viewing the place yesterday.
1) Fees: Full day $1180
With opening promo of $200 for 12 months should be $980. MCYS $300 subsidy applies.
2) Environment: Pretty satifised as its newly renovated. What really caught my interest is the indoor playground with computer facilities. Was also told by the supervisor that they are also considering computer literacy for the K1/K2 classes once the numbers are in. I guess it will be more cost effective this way. Overall, a very nice setup with lots of space for kids to have outdoor activities (swimming as well)
3) Transportation can be a challenge if you don't drive as the location is quite exclusive.
Personally, with it being a new setup, the student to teacher ration will be really low and I hope to take advantage of it. Its just like personalised tuition instead of my DS's current school of 1:about 20 children.
By the way, can anyone shed some light on this \"Medapolis\" project? They are just across the road and I'm wondering will the area be too populated after August? I saw on the contruction site that the estimated completion date is Aug 2012. Pretty soon imho.
So do you intend to transfer your K1 kid there ?
As this is a new setup, my concern is that they might not have iron out certain issues and the cirrculum might not be refined yet... what do you think ? -
Thanks everybody for the information.
Would you be able to share on their curriculum?
Mediapolis is the govt’s designated media-related industry cluster. Committed tenants include MediaCorp, possibly other media-sector players in the books, video, sound, post-prod, areas. Similar to how Biopolis is supposedly Singapore’s biotech cluster, Fusionopolis is the digital media cluster etc. -
Hi, i’m looking for childcare around this area too. Deciding between this, Lorna Whiston or LV@Fusionopolis. I’m also considering Agape Little Uni@NTU Alumni Club.
Any feedback on the above?
For Picket Fences, are they open to public or only to members of Temasek Club? -

My kids are 14 months now… so i’m thinking of placing them when they are 18 months.

Got a call from the Principal about their latest promo. $400 off for the 1st year. Sounds very attractive. Was told T&Cs applies though.
Anyone with more info to share. Especially on the promotion. Will be a sweet deal if no clauses. -
Wat are the T&Cs?

All that I can remember is that the offer is only applicable for the 1st 20 children for full day programme.

The operators (Teo, husband and wife team)of Picket Fence used to be the operators of Agape@Cashew Height.
Honestly I feel that they are very irresponsible and promise alot of things but fail to deliver.

Yes I am.
I feel that the owners (Teo) mentioned that they would ensure a smooth transition between them and Ace@work, however all I have seen is the Teo's selling their new childcare.
It seems to me that the Teo's are very childish and imho they lack integrity by saying one thing and doing another.
It is very sad, because the good name of Agape is being tarnished by the Teo's who are not going to carry on the franchise, and have been trying to SELL their 2 new premises.
Having said that I do not think that Agape is bad .... infact I like Agape... it is the Teos that have tarnished Agape's good reputation.
I see the care and reposibility of Ace@work and imho \"good riddence to the Teos and Agape@Cashew\" -
Hi, any parents have started their kids with this childcare? Can share your feedback please? Thanks…
