      hi moonee thks for highlighting

I am staying very closeby so will have jitters to hear such news.
But this one I heard is to move to a temporary premise so that the current one will go through a major overhaul.

I really hope it won’t happen

Just like u, I’m also enjoying myself not thinking too much about the results. Frankly, up till now, my dd2 refuses to say anything about the papers and we stopped probing. The maths paper frightens me considering the fact that maths is not really her strong subject. I dare not even think of the secondary schools for now. Hoping for all-girls school, if possible.

        don't worry Dharma,

there're still some other good all-girls school ard besides RGS and NYGH.

i personally like crescent girls' sch though it is not an IP but belongs to band 1. (probably becos i am ex-crescent πŸ˜‰ )
but frankly, been to their open hse yesterday, like the overall, their curriculum, the CCA offered and also the general behaviour/character of the students. (although some may feel that during open hse u only see the best, u still can feel the diff).

        Thanks Augmum,

Frankly we don’t even dream about those 2 schools for dd2. Initially, we were hoping for the 2 along Bkt Timah Rd but after Prelims, now it looks like they may also be beyond reach.

Yes, Crescent is also one of our choices but it is the distance is of a concern to us.

agree, distance is always a deciding factor when choosing a secondary school.
i went to crescent open hse just in case my gal's results fall below expectation. πŸ˜‰
today, my gal brought back cedar girls' opening hse invitation card. this is also another good all girls' school but the school put high emphasis in sports which my gal dislikes.

Me too, but I'd think it's only temporary (poor kids in school bus) 😒 😒

Have heard the same, moonee but only because there's lack of space in trying to get into single session per MOE's recommendation πŸ˜›

                Oh, really?

When is it going to happen? Where is the temp location? For how long?

My P1 girl will definitely be affected.

Highly unlikely since the school has just built a multi-million dollar sports hall.

I also think it is unlikely. The new P ever told the press that the school will reduce intake to meet the single session.

As for the minor upgrading, they can always do it during mid-year or year-end holiday.

                    These are only my thoughts.

Yes, the ISH is new...but the block with the (in)famous canteen; and the one with the library is really old eh? If it's major, then the month or so won't be enough right...

Really?? 😐 okay, she's in education, so can trust such press statements eh? But what about the current P4-6? Amounts to 400+ per year eh?

I sincerely HOPE it's just a rumour too...too much logistic nightmare otherwise! πŸ˜‰ Thanks parents!

Oops!! I just noticed that I missed out she did say \"expand the school's infrastructure\" when I read it again.
