      Hi,

I’m thinking to get a tech toy for my 12yo girl. Not getting Ipad2 cos I have an iPad, and waiting for iPad3 to be out… maybe getting a NDS (what’s the latest model)? or PSP? i’m have been out of date for these ‘toys’ for a while?

Or is there any other interesting toys in the market?

      Thanks!

forget about NDS and PSP, both are lossing market share and latest models are not selling as much as they hoped.

IMO, iPad is still better, given the larger screen size, is less taxing for the eyes.

Besides digital games , have you tried signing your girl up for maybe music / dance / sports ? Despite what we think they like , they might not like what we think they like.

Maybe you could get a kindle for her ? Light and good for books

think the apple store and android market apps are relatively cheap compared to those other handheld. Think these days most people just stik to their smartphones.

                Thanks for the recommendations 🙂

I prefer portable ones.. it's more personal.

Wockets, the Kindle is not avail in SG ya? iPad blocked the apps download for Kindle..

PSP vita just launched this week, means not avail in SG yet right?

                Cheers

I'm thinking of Andriod too.. Galaxy tab good?

                    SO blessed!!

Since 12 yo = PSLE, perhaps it's good to set the rules before that. Handheld always gets in the way between parents and teens!! 😄

Do teach your daughter how to control those devices. Specify how much time she's allowed to play and get her to agree to that time.

                        Such things are very addictive.
